As Customer Operations Manager at Hawk, your mission is to build and run the operating system behind a post-sales team that

OUR MISSION At Circus, headquartered in Munich, we are pioneering global developments in on-demand autonomous food production. Everything from creation to production and operation – enabled by seamlessly integrated cutting-edge robotics and transformative AI technology. Our foundation rests in the extensive developments of groundbreaking robotics driven by artificial intelligence, previously the missing link in achieving true autonomous food automation. This is the moment for a new status quo: Just as autonomous driving will disrupt how we build cities, organize our days, and live our lives, so will we shift our whole reality around food. Our Team is backing a paradigm shift in one of humanity's most important sectors with the sharpest minds in Robotics, AI, Engineering and Culinary, collaborating closely with industry-leading partners to revolutionize every aspect of the food service experience. Join us as we forge ahead, crafting a future where the art of cooking and the science of technology converge to create a world that thinks differently about food than it has for thousands of years—a world where food means something new. ABOUT THE ROLE As Circus expands its product portfolio, the commercial team needs more than great salespeople — it needs the operational backbone to match. This role covers the full sales cycle: from how we structure and present proposals, to how deals get tracked and closed, to what happens the moment a contract is signed. Everything behind the scenes that needs to work at the next level. That's what you'll own and build. You'll work directly alongside our commercial leadership team, keeping the sales machine organized so they can focus on selling. Think structured processes, a clean CRM, tight proposal and contract workflows, and the occasional customer follow-up. As we grow, the way we sell needs to grow with us. You'll be the person who makes sure it does — thoughtfully, systematically, and without losing momentum. This is a broad, high-ownership role — the right person will shape what Sales Operations looks like at Circus. YOUR DAILY BUSINESS * Own the end-to-end sales process infrastructure — map, document, and continuously improve how the commercial team operates across the full cycle: from first outreach and proposal to contract signature and customer go-live * Manage and improve the CRM — keep it clean, structured, and useful; build habits and templates so the team actually uses it right; actively build AI-assisted workflows for data entry, enrichment, follow-up drafting, and pipeline summaries * Drive proposal and contract operations — own the creation and coordination of commercial proposals, term sheets, and customer agreements; manage review loops and track versions * Build commercial process infrastructure — define how things should work as we scale, identify gaps, and fix them before they become problems; make sure nothing falls through the cracks between stages * Track and manage pipeline visibility — maintain a clear picture of deal status, next steps, and history across all active opportunities; prepare deal summaries and overviews for internal reviews * Enable the commercial team — take recurring operational and coordination tasks off the team's plate so they can focus on selling; be the person who ensures every deal is followed through properly * Interface with customers when needed — primarily indirect, but comfortable jumping on a follow-up call or managing written communication professionally BASE QUALIFICATIONS * Fluent in German (written and spoken) — essential for customer-facing and contract work * Strong commercial instincts — understands how B2B sales processes work and why structure matters * Proven ability to build and maintain operational processes from scratch, not just follow existing ones * Hands-on with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar); comfortable improving how a team uses them * Excellent at written communication — proposals, emails, and internal docs are clear, professional, and to the point * Self-directed: takes ownership, asks the right questions once, then executes * AI-native: uses AI tools daily as a natural part of how you work — for research, drafting, summarising, automating repetitive tasks, and finding smarter ways to get things done. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience in a commercial operations, sales support, or strategy role at a startup or scale-up * Exposure to contract review or coordination in a B2B context * Background in a commercial training * Experience building AI-assisted workflows (e.g. CRM enrichment, proposal drafting, meeting summaries) OUR OFFER * Compensation: Competitive base salary with stock options for full-time employees - real listed equity, not virtual units. * Time Off: Unlimited paid vacation – we trust you to manage your time responsibly. * Flexibility: Hybrid work setup with up to 2 months/year fully remote (Worcation). * Personal Development: Annual training budget for workshops, coaching, conferences, or books. * Mobility: Monthly flex benefit spendable on lunch, mobility, internet costs, or childcare via Become.1 - plus optional JobRad bike leasing or a subsidized Dance e-bike/e-moped subscription. * Well-Being: Employer-subsidised membership to Urban Sports Club or Wellhub – access to gyms, studios, and wellness offerings across Germany.
