The heart of this spacecraft lies in its propulsion system, and that's why we are dedicated to developing our own cutting-edge
cryogenic propulsion systems.
We are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to join our Huracan propulsion team. In this role, you will be responsible for the
development and testing of pump-drive inverters for a cryogenic rocket engine including control/driver boards and batteries.
You will also collaborate with a diverse team of engineers (e.g. hardware, control, software, mechatronics, and mechanical)
working on different topics to ensure successful integration and operation of these hardware elements within our cryogenic engine.
We want you to help us in our mission by supporting the commissioning, troubleshooting and further improvement of the
above-mentioned power electronics system. This is a hands-on position that demands technical expertise, problem-solving skills,
work in the lab, and a proactive approach to ensure the success of our testing and development efforts.

YOUR MISSION We are seeking a highly skilled Senior High-Voltage Airborne Electronics Engineer (all genders) to design, develop, and validate high-performance power control and conversion hardware. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in power electronics design, component selection, simulation, PCB design, testing, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient, and cost-effective power solutions. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY * Design and develop power electronics hardware including power distribution & protection units, solid-state power controllers and DC-DC converters. * Capture requirements and manage them systematically in a traceable way. * Create schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs for power electronic systems. * Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and design optimization (thermal, EMI/EMC, efficiency, reliability). * Select and qualify power components such as Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC/GaN devices, magnetics, and passive components. * Lead prototype build, bring-up, debugging, and validation testing. * Conduct failure analysis and implement design improvements. * Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards (UL, IEC, ISO, etc.). * Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, procurement and quality teams. * Support production ramp-up, manufacturing test development, and field issue resolution. * Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and design reviews. YOUR PROFILE * Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field. * More than 5 years of professional experience. * Strong background in power electronics theory and practical hardware design. * Experience with electrical protection, power semiconductors, converter topologies and control methods. * Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer (preferred), OrCAD, or KiCad. * Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, power analysers, electronic loads). * Solid understanding of electronics packaging, thermal management, EMI/EMC, and safety design. * Ability to debug complex hardware issues independently. * Experience with wide bandgap semiconductors (SiC,GaN). * Familiarity with simulation tools (LTspice, PLECS, PSIM, MATLAB/Simulink). * Knowledge of high-voltage and high-power systems. * Experience with testing hardware under high-voltage (>800V). * Experience with DO-254 process. * Experience with aerospace & defence standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704). * A valid (car) driving licence is preferred for occasional travel between our locations. To support this mission, we are looking for a Custom Emulator Electronics Engineer to join our Electrical Functional Test Team in Munich. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and deployment of custom electronic hardware used within Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), EGSE, and spacecraft verification environments. You will develop electronic systems that accurately emulate spacecraft equipment, sensors, actuators, electrical loads, and communication interfaces, enabling robust and automated testing throughout the product development lifecycle. You will work closely with avionics, software, systems, AIT, and test engineers, taking ownership of electronic developments from concept definition through schematic design, PCB layout, prototype validation, firmware development, and deployment into operational test environments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as Custom Emulator Electronics Engineer, you will: * Design and develop custom analog and digital electronic hardware used to emulate spacecraft subsystems, sensors, actuators, power interfaces, and communication buses. * Develop signal conditioning circuits, interface electronics, load simulators, fault injection systems, and custom test equipment for verification activities. * Own the complete hardware development lifecycle, from requirements capture and architecture definition through schematic design, PCB layout, manufacturing support, bring-up, validation, and release. * Design multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer (or equivalent ECAD tools), ensuring robustness, manufacturability, and maintainability. * Develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers and custom electronic platforms supporting emulation, control, monitoring, and automated testing functions. * Perform hardware debugging, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting activities using laboratory instrumentation. * Define and execute validation and characterization campaigns for newly developed electronic systems. * Support integration of custom electronics into HiL and EGSE platforms. * Collaborate with software and automation engineers to implement scalable and automated test solutions. * Produce technical documentation, test reports, design reviews, and manufacturing packages in accordance with engineering best practices. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of test infrastructure, emulation capabilities, and engineering processes. MUST-HAVE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field. * Minimum 2 years of professional experience in electronic hardware development, test equipment development, embedded electronics, industrial automation, aerospace, automotive, or a comparable industry. * Strong experience in analog and digital circuit design. * Proven experience developing custom electronic hardware from concept through production and validation. * Experience with signal conditioning circuits, interface electronics, measurement systems, or electronic test equipment. * Strong proficiency with ECAD tools, preferably Altium Designer. * Experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and manufacturing support. * Practical experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs. * Ability to develop and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ or similar languages. * Hands-on experience using laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, power supplies, and multimeters. * Experience performing board bring-up, debugging, verification, and troubleshooting. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously on multidisciplinary projects. * Good communication skills and fluency in English. YOUR MISSION As a BMS Software Engineer (all genders), you will join the VÆRIDION R&D team within the Technology division. You will be responsible to lead the development of software required for our propulsion battery management and power distribution for VÆRIDION’s CS-23 all-electric aircraft. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of the High Voltage Electrical Power System at the core of VÆRIDION’s novel propulsion system. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY * Lead the design, development, and implementation of embedded software for propulsion battery and power distribution from prototypes to future airworthy systems. * Implement software development processes and toolchains in compliance with aviation standards and regulations. * Define and document software requirements, specifications, and interfaces for the high voltage electrical power system. * Collaborate closely with cell, electrical, and thermal engineers to develop robust and efficient algorithms for battery state estimation, cell balancing, fault detection, power control, and thermal management. * Conduct thorough testing and validation of the software, including integration testing with other aircraft systems. * Support system integration, iron bird/field testing, and certification efforts, providing expertise on software functionality and performance. * Stay current with advancements in battery technology, software development methodologies, and aviation regulations.
