Description Position at Pilgrim's Security Guard Lead At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition , which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. The Security Guard Lead is responsible for safeguarding company personnel, property, and assets while providing leadership and support to the Security Department. This position monitors plant activity, oversees facility access, performs routine security inspections and administrative functions, and serves as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Security Supervisor. The Security Guard Lead must demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple shifts. This position generally works 2nd or 3rd shift , with occasional 1st shift coverage as needed . Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor plant activity to ensure a safe and secure environment. Conduct hourly patrols and security rounds, including: Checking trailer temperatures Checking room temperatures Inspecting gates and facility access points Monitor all associates, visitors, and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility. Answer and direct switchboard calls during after-hours operations. Process and bill outgoing loads as required. Follow, enforce, and assist in implementing company policies and procedures. Operate company-owned vehicles as needed. Inspect inbound trailers for cleanliness, condition, and operational readiness before entering the facility. Receive and document shipments of supplies and raw materials. Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and facility records. Fill in and provide operational support throughout the Security Department as needed. Serve as the department lead and provide guidance to security personnel during assigned shifts. Cover Security Supervisor responsibilities during absences, ensuring continuity of department operations. Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and unusual situations. Communicate security concerns, incidents, and operational issues to management. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision. MongoDB Technical Services Engineers use their exceptional problem solving and customer service skills, along with their deep technical experience, to advise customers and to solve their complex MongoDB problems. After a 6-9 month ramp period, Monday to Friday from 7 AM - 4 PM EST, the schedule will shift permanently to Saturday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Sunday from 7 AM - 4 PM EST.
