holding the company to a high standard across every market it enters.
This role partners directly with the CFO and the G&A leadership team, owning the people agenda for a function that underpins
everything Legora is building. The CFO leads with precision and high standards, and the people around them do too.
As a Senior People Partner, you'll work as a true thought partner to the CFO and leadership team across the entire G&A
organisation, helping shape the functions as they scales while ensuring strong performance, accountability, and organisational

THE ROLE Legora has grown from 40 to more than 600 people in 18 months. During that time, we reached $100M ARR, tripled our valuation in five months, and continued expanding into new markets around the world. Our Talent Acquisition function is now entering its next chapter. The processes, standards, and hiring approach that support our next phase of growth are being built today, and you'll play a significant part in that. You'll work closely with senior leaders from day one and play a key role in shaping how Legora hires and scales. A company growing at this pace only holds together if the people behind the scenes are exceptional. As a G&A Talent Partner, you will own hiring across our non-technical, non-GTM functions in North America. Finance, Legal, People, Operations, Marketing, and everything in between. These are the teams that keep Legora running and scaling with precision, and getting them right matters as much as any other part of the business. You are not a coordinator filling briefs. You are a strategic hiring partner in your own right, accountable for the quality and velocity of the people who hold this company together behind the scenes. WHAT YOU’LL DO Scaling a company at this pace requires the right talent across every function. As a Talent Partner, you will own that directly. You are not an order-taker. You are accountable for the quality and velocity of the hires that keep Legora's infrastructure ahead of its growth. You will own end-to-end hiring across G&A functions in North America, working closely with senior leaders who are genuinely invested in building exceptional teams and trust you to shape how they do it. Specifically, you will: * Partner closely with hiring managers to define role scope, success profiles, and hiring strategies aligned to business priorities. * Help shape how Talent operates at Legora, contributing beyond hiring to process design, programs, tooling, and broader People initiatives. * Build and nurture proactive talent pipelines across Finance, Legal, People, Operations, Marketing, and other Corporate teams, ensuring we stay ahead of demand rather than reacting to it. * Run structured, data-informed hiring processes that balance quality, pace, and consistency while maintaining a high bar for talent across every function and seniority level. * Partner strategically with senior stakeholders on how teams should be structured and sequenced, not just executing briefs but shaping them with a clear point of view. * Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first conversation through to offer, acting as a trusted and credible ambassador for Legora throughout. WHAT YOU BRING You understand that hiring decisions are business decisions, and you hold yourself accountable to the same outcomes as the teams you hire for. We're looking for: * 5+ years in talent acquisition in a high-growth environment, startup, scaleup, or VC-backed company, with meaningful depth hiring G&A talent * A proven track record hiring high-performing talent across the seniority levels that matter most at this stage of growth * Genuine business acumen. You understand how G&A functions underpin company performance, you speak the language of the leaders you partner with, and you use that fluency to advise on hiring strategy and close exceptional candidates. * The ability to hire across a range of corporate functions without losing rigour. As the business scales toward 1,500 people, the corporate functions supporting that growth are expanding fast across finance, people, legal, and operations. G&A at Legora is being built at the same pace as every other part of the business, in a company that has expanded into a dozen new markets in under two years and isn't slowing down. The people you'll partner with are senior leaders who are deeply invested in building their functions well and will expect the same from you. Based in New York, you'll lead G&A recruiting globally, managing a team across the US and Europe and working closely with the CFO, VP People, VP Operations, General Counsel, and CIO from day one. You'll manage managers and be accountable for everything the function produces. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Lead and develop a team of G&A Talent Partners across the US and Stockholm, setting the standard for how corporate hiring gets done and building the structure to scale alongside a headcount plan that keeps growing. * Own relationships across a broad set of senior stakeholders: the CFO, VP People, VP Operations, General Counsel, and CIO. Each has a clear view of what strong looks like in their function and you'll be the person helping them build it. * Drive consistency and quality across two markets with meaningfully different talent pools and hiring norms. The US and Europe each require a different approach and your strategy needs to reflect that. * Build the pipeline discipline, reporting, and performance metrics that give stakeholders a clear and consistent view of where hiring stands across every corporate function. * Partner with talent operations and the broader TA leadership team on tooling, process design, and cross-functional initiatives. WHAT YOU BRING You've led corporate recruiting at a company growing fast enough that the brief changed every quarter and the stakeholders had strong opinions. You know how to hold the bar across a broad remit, earn credibility with a CFO and a General Counsel in the same week, and build a team that performs consistently under pressure. We're looking for: * Meaningful experience leading G&A or corporate recruiting at a high-growth, VC-backed company, covering multiple functions rather than a single discipline. You've managed managers and built teams, not just run a desk. * The range to partner credibly with the CFO, VP People, VP Operations, General Counsel, and CIO simultaneously. You understand how each of these functions is built, you bring a point of view to those conversations, and you push back when you need to. * Multi-market experience across the US and Europe. You understand how talent markets differ on either side of the Atlantic and you build your approach accordingly. * A data-driven approach to running a function. You set targets, track the right things, and use performance data to improve rather than just report. * A hiring bar that doesn't move under pressure. When searches get hard, you change the approach, not the standard. The Role We’re hiring a Senior Director of Technical Accounting to build and scale a best-in-class financial reporting function. You’ll sit close to Finance leadership and operate at the center of our most complex accounting, reporting, and disclosure decisions—turning technical complexity into clear, audit-ready output. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role with real ownership. You’ll set the direction for technical accounting and external reporting, partner closely with cross-functional leaders, and help define how financial information is prepared, reviewed, and communicated as the company scales. WHAT YOU'LL DO You’ll work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Investor Relations to lead high-quality financial reporting and build scalable, repeatable processes. From close through external reporting, you’ll own outcomes while raising the bar on rigor, clarity, and efficiency. More than that, we believe you will thrive by taking ownership of: * Owning end-to-end financial statements and disclosures, including GAAP financials, footnotes, rollforwards, tie-outs, and supporting schedules * Leading external audit strategy and execution, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors and driving high-quality, on-time delivery * Overseeing complex technical accounting areas, including stock-based compensation, business combinations, leases, capitalized software, and other judgment-heavy estimates * Leading technical accounting research and review of memos to support accounting conclusions, disclosures, and policy decisions * Driving SEC and public-company reporting readiness, including building processes and documentation to support future 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings * Partnering with FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations to align financial results, KPIs, and materials for leadership, board, and external stakeholders * Translating complex accounting matters into clear disclosures, executive-level narratives, and decision-ready communications * Designing and scaling reporting processes, controls, and automation to improve accuracy, efficiency, and audit readiness * Supporting M&A activity, including due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-transaction integration * Leading and mentoring team members, setting standards for technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement WHAT YOU BRING You’re a seasoned accounting leader who pairs deep technical expertise with strong judgment and a hands-on mindset. You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity, enjoy owning complex decisions, and know how to move from technical detail to strategic clarity. More than that, we believe you will bring: * 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant technical accounting and financial reporting leadership * Experience from a technology and/or scale-up start-up environment * Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and hands-on experience preparing and reviewing audited financial statements and disclosures * Proven experience leading external audits and delivering high-quality, audit-ready reporting in high-growth environments * Experience supporting public-company readiness, SEC reporting, or operating within a SOX-compliant environment * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to senior leaders and non-technical partners * A high degree of ownership, accountability, and comfort leading through change * CPA required NICE TO HAVE While not required, we think this role could be an especially strong fit if you’ve helped scale accounting and reporting functions through periods of rapid growth or major financial milestones.
