As a QA Engineer, you will join our Applications team, consisting of four developers. In this role, you will play a key part in
ensuring the quality of our applications, with a particular focus on InControl, our central management software. Your primary
responsibility will be manual testing of the user interface, where you will verify new features, test changes made by the
development team, and quality assure entire releases before they reach our customers.
While the role is currently focused on manual testing, there will be opportunities over time to contribute ideas and initiatives
for how the testing process can evolve, including areas such as test automation.

DEINE AUFGABEN YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Design, create, and execute test specifications, test plans, and test execution plans based on functional and non-functional requirements * Execute, optimize, and continuously improve test procedures and test scripts * Track, document, and report test execution results, risks, defects, coverage, and quality metrics * Perform root cause analysis for bugs, failures, discrepancies, and production issues * Evaluate and communicate test results, success criteria, and test coverage * Perform regression, load, scalability, and performance testing * Monitor production and test environments from a QA perspective * Support the implementation of control and alert mechanisms for production systems * Ensure testing of usability, user experience, and cross-browser compatibility * Document functional flows, testing outcomes, and relevant quality assurance activities * Support system integration and installation of test systems * Propose and apply Agile testing methods and QA best practices within the development process * Provide 1st level support, troubleshooting, and bug fixing for production incidents * Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, product team members, and customers when needed * Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives * Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to continuous team improvement * Stay curious about industry trends, QA methods, automation tools, and technology developments DEIN PROFIL YOUR QUALIFICATIONS HARD SKILLS — MUST-HAVE * University degree in Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field * 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a QA Engineer * Strong foundation in QA best practices and software testing procedures * Experience in Agile software development environments and related test methods * Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test documentation * High level of quality awareness and attention to detail * Experience with B2B SaaS platforms, ideally multi-tenant solutions * Solution-oriented, service-minded, and customer-focused approach * Experience with operational work such as business application administration, maintenance, help desk, or problem management * Motivation to automate testing processes wherever possible * Fluency in English, both written and spoken NICE-TO-HAVE / LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES * Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, SpecFlow, Chimpy, or similar * Experience integrating automated tests into build and delivery pipelines * Exposure to continuous delivery processes * Experience as a Test Engineer in Java, Groovy, .NET, C#, JavaScript, or Android environments * Knowledge of PowerShell or batch scripting * Experience with database management * Hands-on experience or motivation to learn Docker and Kubernetes * Exposure to orchestration tools and CI/CD pipelines such as Octopus, Bitbucket, Confluence, Nexus, ELK Stack, Git, TeamCity, or CircleCI * Knowledge of ITIL and DevOps practices would be a plus SOFT SKILLS * Strong team player with a collaborative mindset * “Can-do” attitude and proactive problem-solving orientation * Clear and effective communicator * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Strong sense of ownership and urgency * Ability to troubleshoot with ease * Curiosity and eagerness to learn * High commitment to product quality and optimized delivery * Ability to seek and use feedback for continuous improvement * Empathy and strong interpersonal skills * Ability to explain, guide, present, and support colleagues or customers when needed * Ability to train junior or new team members without losing focus on own responsibilities WARUM WIR?
