What you’ll do As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be the go-to contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with precision and professionalism. You’ll also: * Oversee projects so they are successful. * Coordinate projects, resolving any scheduling, staffing or quality issues. * Lead project teams, including staff and subconsultants, to deliver results. * Invoice clients, provide explanations for billed items and follow up on accounts. * Maintain client confidentiality and follow company standards for online filing and documentation. * Perform Root Cause Analysis for project write-offs and ensure quality control for assigned projects. * Communicate technical concepts and ideas to clients and team members. * Prioritize tasks and follow tight deadlines. * Work across multiple disciplines to cross-market services. What it takes Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s degree with five to seven years of experience in municipal project management. Responsibilities: * Expert Leadership: Act as the go-to authority for report writing, civil engineering design, including drainage, grading, utilities, and comprehensive due diligence/site analysis reports. * Permitting and Local Agency Expertise: Develop permitting strategies and lead permitting and agency coordination efforts throughout Miami-Dade County. Maintain strong working knowledge of local civil engineering permitting requirements and agency review process including Miami-Dade WASD, DERM, Engineering, Transpiration and Public Works Departments at the County and Municipal level. * Technical Excellence: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, and other design tools to review and complete assignments efficiently, adhering to Atwell's high standards. * Mentorship: Guide and support junior staff with technical queries related to Land Development projects, fostering their professional growth. * Quality Assurance: Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure all project deliverables meet rigorous quality and engineering standards. * Compliance & Review: Ensure full compliance with engineering standards and agency requirements. Analyze project survey data and site conditions, including legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, and easement documents. Coordinate civil engineering design with multi-disciplinary external consultant teams. * Adaptability: Make necessary edits and modifications to plans as required by agencies, municipalities, and clients. * Effective Communication: Coordinate with project team to track workflow status and meet chargeability goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for the project design team throughout project delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, contractors, attorneys and public agency representatives. * Financial Contribution: Support the team in achieving financial objectives and project success. Qualifications: * Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering * Professional Certification: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) * Industry Expertise: 7+ years of experience in multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial Land Development in Miami-Dade County including design, project management, business development and invoicing.
