Your future role within QRT We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our Market Access team to design and develop cutting-edge, high-performance systems that power our trading capabilities.  As a senior engineer, you will:  * Architect and Develop: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ applications for trading systems, ensuring scalability, robustness, and low-latency performance.  * Collaborate: Work closely with FPGA engineers, DevOps professionals, and other software engineers to deliver integrated solutions that meet the needs of our trading environment.  * Code Excellence: Participate in code reviews, debugging, and rigorous optimization to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.  * Drive Architecture: Lead and contribute to architectural discussions, ensuring the evolution of our software systems aligns with business and technological goals.  * Optimize Systems: Partner with system administrators and network engineers to fine-tune deployment environments for maximum efficiency and performance.  * Mentor and Innovate: Mentor team members in best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes.  Your Present Skillset  * Expertise in C++ Development: Proven experience in modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) and multithreaded, high-performance applications on Linux.  * System Architecture: Demonstrated experience in system-level architecture design for trading or other performance-critical environments.  * Optimization Techniques: Extensive experience with low-latency optimizations, profiling, and performance tuning.  * Leadership: Previous experience as a people manager or technical lead, demonstrate examples of leading engineers on different projects * Communication and Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to drive collaboration and work with cross-disciplinary teams, including FPGA engineers and network specialists.  * Debugging and Tooling: Familiarity with advanced debugging tools and performance analysis techniques.  * Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial products and trading systems is preferred.    QRT is an equal opportunity employer. About this role As a Manager to join our Shanghai team of Data Science Consultants, you will be a member of the Leadership Team APAC, with cross-functional responsibilities in a growing and dynamic environment. The Manager will focus on developing and steering new accounts and some of our largest and most complex accounts, and on delivering analytics projects that will lead to significant, value-led transformation for our clients in China. This requires building strong client relationships by understanding their needs and offering the right solutions. As a Manager at Eki, you will work with the General Manager, Shanghai, to contribute to the growth and health of the company by providing thought leadership and supporting the company’s strategic goals. You will also be leading prospection activities and leveraging your expertise to create and identify new business opportunities for Ekimetrics. The Manager also acts as a leader of operations, taking the lead on strategic topics such as Innovation, Thought Leadership and HR. Finally, you will have people management responsibilities which require you to develop and coach a team of data science consultants, ensuring they are motivated and have clear pathways for growth. You will manage their performance evaluations and provide constant and impactful feedback, paving the way for the immense talent coming through our doors.  Your Responsibilities 1. Strategic Contributions & Ekimetrics Growth Member of the APAC team, involved in the entity development initiatives and strategic decisions. Heavily involved in entity operations, P&L decisions, short- and long-term investment strategy, and staffing/development plans. Be a strong ambassador of Ekimetrics culture, leading internal initiatives to enhance consultant skills/experience and promoting Ekimetrics culture in external settings. Lead path of innovation as Ekimetrics expands its offer and capabilities in China market. Identify innovation opportunities to increase company efficiency and profitability. Bring prior expertise to Ekimetrics to assist in driving the right solutions for our clients. 2. Account Steering & Delivery Ownership of the client relationship of managed accounts. Promote confidence and develop close relationships with senior execs on the client-side. Lead Ekimetrics most complex projects: multi million dollars accounts, critical and strategic projects, or innovation projects to expand our offer or increase efficiency. Oversee multiple accounts simultaneously, ensuring account growth and profitability, in partnership with the established project teams. Drive high levels of client satisfaction. Cultivate your external network with a client centric approach, driving new business and enhancing Ekimetrics standing in China. 3. People Management & Development Driving the HR plan and giving team members opportunities to succeed. Recruit and align resources to hire, develop staff, manage performance, and create/enhance data scientists at all levels. Actively work with the team to improve engagement, retain top performers and support the development of future Eki leaders. Lead trainings for consultants on topics, from data science techniques through to business strategy. Work with international counterparts on global people management topics, such as annual review processes, mentorship training, and culture initiatives. 4. Business Development Play a key role in the China Go-To-Market activities, working with the General Manager on commercial strategies, marketing, and sales. Drive velocity and accelerate Ekimetrics' footprint in China. Identify and close up-sell/cross-sell opportunities with existing clients. Position Ekimetrics as an enabler of Data Science Transformation with key decision makers. Act as a lead for sales efforts, including RFPs, new business pitches, and other commercial opportunities. Act as a company ambassador – including Thought Leadership, speaking at events, networking with brand executives and industry partners. 5. About You We are looking for someone who can wear two hats – the Data Scientist and the Strategic Partner – and so you will need to show both Advanced Analytics skills and a strong interest in Data Transformation projects. You will need 5 to 7-year prior experience in a Data Science and Consulting, be used to working with senior stakeholders at reputable brands and be able to confidently drive our strategy in China’s analytics and data transformation space. Ideally, you will have: A master’s degree in in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, operations research, or business (MBA) from a leading academic institution is preferred. An ability to conduct business & strategy assignments to create value and innovative customer engagements. A love of data, extensive knowledge in statistics or applied mathematics, and experience with techniques such as machine learning. 1 year or more of experience in people and small team management with the ability to coach and motivate team and cultivate strong growth mindset Experience with software such as Python or R. The capacity to develop high impact thought leadership that articulates a forward-thinking view of the market. High proficiency in Putonghua and English. Additional Asian language skills would be a bonus to have (Cantonese, Korean, Japanese etc.) Transversal Skills: Excellent communication skills – especially translating complex technical findings into insights and stories for stakeholders (internal and external). You will be the bridge between cutting-edge Deep Learning (signal sensing) and Operations Research (constraint-based optimization). Your mission is to transform Coupang’s supply chain into a durable competitive advantage by building a fully autonomous, agentic operating system that is capable of multi-step reasoning, where LLMs interpret signals and OR models execute procurement decisions without manual intervention. This system will manage procurement decisions for 10M+ units daily, with the goal of reducing manual execution by 50% while maximizing inventory ROI and in-stock rates. Key Responsibilities * Architect the Cognitive Engine: Lead the synthesis of Large Language Models (LLMs), Knowledge Graphs (KGs), and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to create an autonomous, agentic supply chain platform. * Integrate DL & OR: Design hybrid systems that utilize Deep Learning for high-fidelity signal sensing and Operations Research for complex, constraint-based optimization. * Drive Full Autonomy: Develop models that proactively manage the entire SKU lifecycle at hyper-scale, moving from "human-in-the-loop" to "human-on-the-loop" strategic oversight. * Establish Model Governance: Implement strict governance frameworks to ensure high-stakes autonomous decisions remain accurate, unbiased, explainable, and resilient to data drift. * Simulate & Experiment: Lead Large-scale Discrete Event Simulations (DES) and Agent-Based Simulation models to validate "what-if" scenarios before production deployment. * Strategic Leadership: Advise leadership on the research roadmap and technical breakthroughs that will define the future of e-commerce supply chain management . * Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with SCMA Engineering to deploy production-grade models that handle extreme demand volatility without compromising latency or reliability.
