We are looking for a senior consultant to support development and implementation of Software Update Management System (SUMS)
processes within a global automotive organization.
The assignment focuses on defining and improving processes to ensure compliance with software update regulations and standards
(e.g. UNECE R156, ISO 24089), and to support the full vehicle lifecycle.
You will work close to engineering, compliance, and governance teams to:
Define and maintain SUMS processes across the product lifecycle Translate regulatory requirements into practical and auditable
ways of working
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations Support projects and teams in implementing SUMS processes
Define roles, KPIs, governance, and process interfaces Support audits, reviews, and corrective actions
Drive continuous improvements based on findings and new requirements
Experience in process development, system engineering, or automotive software
Understanding of regulated product development Ability to translate requirements into clear processes
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Analytical mindset and ability to handle complex topics
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Knowledge of UNECE R156, ISO 24089 or similar Experience with SUMS, CSMS, or regulatory compliance
Understanding of embedded software, OTA updates, or ECU systems
Experience with audits or quality management systems
Experience from automotive or similar regulated industry

JOB DESCRIPTION * You will represent and safeguard the O2C and O2D processes from both a business process and architecture perspective. * You will ensure that business goals and target architecture are reflected in solution design, with focus on efficiency, scalability, and industry best practices. * You will work closely with realization leads and help drive pragmatic decisions that support progress and results. * You will support Process Developers in establishing, documenting, and governing global processes and templates. * You will facilitate change management and handle change requests related to O2C within the ERP programs. * You will collaborate with cross-program process streams and the Service Integrator to secure smooth end-to-end integration. * You will identify business impacts when processes need to align with industry standards and communicate those impacts clearly to stakeholders. REQUIREMENTS * University degree, preferably in Computer Science. * 8+ years of documented experience relevant to the role. * Documented experience within the Order-to-Delivery domain in a manufacturing environment. * Solid understanding of sales, delivery, and invoicing processes. * Significant experience working as a Business Architect in complex and global environments. * Documented ERP experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365. * Experience with process documentation and process documentation tools, where ARIS is currently used. * Fluent English, both written and spoken.
