ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is for you if you enjoy shaping complex payment solutions from idea to implementation. You will work in a banking
environment where payment offerings need to function across currencies, jurisdictions, rulebooks, and schemas, and where
end-to-end thinking is critical.
You will take a central role in connecting frontend offerings, service and API layers, backend processing, and clearing. The work
includes both strategic architecture and hands-on solution design, together with architects, tech leads, and product-facing
stakeholders. It is a strong opportunity for you to influence how payment capabilities evolve in a large-scale organization with
modern cloud and DevOps practices.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- You will architect end-to-end solutions for payment offerings across multiple markets, currencies, and regulatory contexts.
- You will define and shape solution flows from customer-facing channels through services and APIs to backend processing and
clearing.
- You will facilitate and drive architectural work such as target architectures, transition architectures, roadmaps,
architectural runways, and end-to-end flows.
- You will work closely with architects and tech leads responsible for different components to create coherent solutions across
the landscape.
- You will contribute at a detailed level in solution design together with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Channel Owners, and
development teams.
- You will support work related to payment channels, payment processing platforms, and payment reporting where needed.
- You will help create alignment among stakeholders and communicate solution direction and architectural decisions in a clear and
practical way.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong and demonstrable knowledge and experience architecting solutions for a diversity of payments offerings across
currencies, jurisdictions, rulebooks, and schemas.
- Strong motivation to work with payment flows end to end, from frontend offering definition through service and API layers to
backend processing and clearing.
- Strong and demonstrable ability to facilitate or drive the definition and agreement of architectural deliverables such as
target architectures, transition architectures, architectural roadmaps, architectural runways, and end-to-end flows.
- Strong and demonstrable ability to work at a detailed level in solution design activities with Business Analysts, Product
Owners, Channel Owners, and development teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or OpenShift, as well as DevOps.
- Experience managing diverse stakeholders in large organizations and working effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Experience working in both traditional waterfall project management and Scaled Agile environments.
NICE TO HAVE
Ideally 10+ years’ experience in payments or cash management within Investment Banking.
