Are you a skilled Analytics Engineer with a passion for transforming raw data into high-quality, actionable insights? Join Sweden's largest property portal to design the data solutions that power our business decisions. As the most popular real estate portal in Sweden, Hemnet receives over 40 million visits every month from people looking for their next home. We are a data-heavy organization, and we strive to make data-informed decisions the standard for everything we do. About the role 🍏 As an Analytics Engineer, you will be a key player in our journey to empower the organization to become more data-driven. Sitting within the Analytics team, you will act as a vital bridge between raw data and meaningful business logic. Because this role connects technical infrastructure with business needs, strong communication is essential. By focusing on the "back end" of business intelligence to ensure our data is clean, reliable, and well-modeled, you will play a crucial part in helping Hemnet continuously improve and become better for everyone. What you’ll do 💥 * Build and develop data models, taking responsibility for structuring the data that forms the foundation for analysis, reporting, and future AI solutions. * Conduct analysis and ad-hoc explorations to answer complex business questions, helping stakeholders across Hemnet turn raw data into insights. * Improve our self-service capabilities, enabling more colleagues to find answers independently through robust data architecture. * Occasionally support the development of essential reports and dashboards to ensure data is visualized effectively. Who we think you are 🤩 In order to be successful in this role we believe that you have an educational background with a strong technical focus and a few years of experience working as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Developer. As a bridge between technical and business teams, you excel at tailoring your communication and insights for everyone from Sales and Business Development to the leadership group. * Strong SQL and sound judgement in data modelling. * Professional experience with dbt. * Passionate about using your data models to solve real-world business problems alongside your stakeholders. * Experience partnering across departments and strong business acumen. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish. * Bonus if you have experience in: - Tableau - A semantic or metrics layer - AI-powered self service analytics - Python I am your new manager 👋 My name is Thomas Hanusek. I joined Hemnet about four years ago. Prior to that, I drove analytics for more than 20 years across different companies. My passion at work is really about seeing how Data & analytics can drive product and business development in the best way possible. As a leader, I am a huge fan of seeing how a team can come together and, through their different skills, create magic. My aim is to be supportive and humble, and to create an environment where you feel trusted, challenged, and empowered to grow. A Note on Inclusion 💚 At Hemnet, we believe that diversity in gender, sexual orientation, ability, neurodiversity, cultural background and life experience makes us stronger. We welcome applicants of all identities and backgrounds. If you meet many but not all of the requirements, we encourage you to apply. We value curiosity, a strong sense of purpose and the motivation to learn and grow, alongside your skills and experiences. An Office-First Culture 🙏 Our office in central Stockholm is the true hub of our company culture. We are proudly an office-first team because we deeply value face-to-face collaboration and believe our best work happens when we are together. While we understand the need for occasional flexibility, we strongly prioritize in-person teamwork over remote work. Because our office is the center of our daily operations, it is essential that you are based in or near Stockholm. Please note that we're unable to provide relocation assistance for this opportunity.

So with you at Mentimeter, you’ll be a big part of the ambition to help over 1 billion people listen, learn and work better together. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE ROLE As an Analytics Engineer in the Analytics Foundation team, you help the whole company use data with confidence. You sit in a small team with real ownership: we shape how analytics engineering is done here, not only what gets built. You will make architectural decisions for data modelling and set the bar for quality, maintainability, and how we work. This is not a role where you only implement models from a backlog of “orders”; you partner with the business and with technical teams, surface trade-offs when needed, and help prioritise work that compounds. We spend most of our time on larger initiatives that improve the platform and how people use data, rather than reacting to a constant stream of ad-hoc questions. The team has a high degree of autonomy over its agenda, little firefighting, and we have invested for years in automating repetitive work so we can focus on impact. You will work hands-on with modern data tooling and with AI-assisted workflows, including coding agents and agent-style automation where they genuinely speed up design, review, and deliver, while staying responsible for correctness, governance, and clarity for stakeholders. You will develop and maintain core models, quality practices, and governance; support the warehouse and pipelines; and help teams get the most from BI and GTM tooling. Tools in our stack include Snowflake, dbt core, Hex, Prefect, Fivetran, and Hightouch (among others). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design, own, and evolve core data models and the modelling architecture; including how they connect to pipelines, freshness, and operational reliability in the warehouse. * Empower the organization to use and interpret data. * Partner with business and technical stakeholders from problem framing to shipped artefacts: clarify requirements, suggest better approaches when a request would not scale, and drive or co-drive cross-team initiatives that improve how data is used. * Collaborate closely with other data professionals; this includes giving actionable feedback in code reviews as well as actively supporting with data modeling * Combine subject matter expertise and a high level business understanding to contribute to the direction and strategy for Mentimeter in the realm of data modeling, AI-Analysis, BI-tooling and data activation in GTM-Tooling. * Develop, own and maintain data modeling standards and the data development experience * Improve how we work at scale: thoughtful automation and AI-assisted engineering (e.g. coding agents and repeatable workflows) with human accountability for correctness and compliance. * Maintain and grow how knowledge is surfaced, e.g in semantic models, a data catalog, or documentation WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE: * Roughly 4-7 years of relevant hands-on experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, BI Analyst, or similar (or equivalent depth if your path is non-linear). * Strong SQL and sound judgment in data modelling (grain, reusability, naming, and how metrics should behave). * Experience partnering across departments, including leading or co-leading cross-functional work that shipped something others use. * Strong business acumen with an understanding of sales, marketing, and product analytics. * Ability to map ambiguous stakeholder needs to clear, maintainable models and artefacts. * Experience with BI-tools and development of BI features * Knowledge of software collaboration using git. * Communication in English with both technical and non-technical audiences; interest in helping others grow their data skills. * Experience working with GDPR-sensitive data and collaborating with legal experts on compliance assessments. IT IS BENEFICIAL IF YOU HAVE: * Hands-on experience with dbt (or similar) * Experience with a semantic or metrics layer * Experience using AI-assisted coding or coding agents in a disciplined way (reviews, tests, documentation), with clear judgment about automation vs verification for production data work. * Professional experience working in an agile environment NOT REQUIRED: * Swedish is not required (daily work is carried out in English and the Mentimeter team currently boasts 50+ different nationalities). * A cover letter is not required as part of your application ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 📍 LOCATION: This is primarily an onsite role located at Mentimeter HQ in Stockholm, with a hybrid approach and ability to work from home up to twice per week. Please note that we do not offer visa relocation sponsorship for this position. 💡OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS: 1. Introduction interview 2. Competence interview, including a live case. 3. Culture interview 4. We use AI as a sparring partner: to bounce ideas, bring new perspectives, support structure, and make our work more efficient. But the meaning, decisions, and interactions always come from people. * AI does not screen or decide on candidates. * There is no automated filtering, ranking, or decision-making in our recruitment process. Every application is reviewed by a person. * Hiring teams may use AI to support their work - for example, to structure notes, prepare interview questions, or organize their thinking. AI strengthens our work, but it does not define it. At Mentimeter, we’re not building an AI-driven hiring process - we’re building a people-first culture, where technology helps us listen, learn, and grow together. Culture at Mentimeter At Mentimeter we believe in giving everyone a voice - regardless of who you are. So we build a platform that does just that.
