Let us tell you about the role 📖 s an Android Developer at Nextory, you’ll not only design, build, and refine our Android app. You’ll help shape how we leverage AI and agentic ways of working to create smarter, more adaptive user experiences. We believe that the future of software engineering is more about authoring intent than writing lines of code. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to make every interaction feel personalized and inspiring. You’ll explore how autonomous systems and human creativity can combine to redefine how stories are discovered, shared, and enjoyed. Your main responsibilities will include: * Building and enhancing the Android app’s core experiences * Owning and evolving key app features, leveraging AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development and decision-making * Collaborating across teams to understand user needs and deliver elegant, scalable solutions * Contributing to a modern development culture where AI agents handle coding and testing, while you focus on experimentation, architecture, and product insights The main character we’re looking for 👀 We believe you are a curious and dedicated Android Developer who thrives on creating smooth, high-quality mobile experiences. You take pride in building seamless, performant apps, and you’re just as comfortable collaborating with humans as you are working alongside AI-powered tools, agents, and workflows. WHAT YOU BRING You combine people leadership with the technical understanding needed to support iOS, Android, Web, and user-facing product trade-offs. You create clarity in complex environments and help teams improve how they work. * Experience leading, coaching, mentoring or developing engineers. * Experience working with distributed or hybrid engineering teams. Previous management experience in this setup is a plus. * Understanding of modern software delivery practices and the quality needs of user-facing products. * Understanding of mobile release processes and the quality assurance needs of mobile releases. * Ability to balance engineering standards with team autonomy. * Ability to explain engineering trade-offs, risks, and constraints clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Clear communication and relationship-building skills. * Cost-conscious approach to staffing, tooling, infrastructure, and technical decisions. * Professional-level English communication skills. Swedish is beneficial.
