Senior Business Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE You will step into a strategic role in a global R&D environment within the automotive sector, supporting a newly established Business Development & Strategy function. The assignment sits close to senior leadership and combines business strategy, financial governance, and cross-functional collaboration in a complex international setting. You will help shape how the organization works across R&D, Finance, Strategy, and Commercial areas, with a focus on turning priorities into structure, follow-up, and measurable progress. This role is especially interesting if you enjoy working at the intersection of strategy, finance, and transformation in a product development environment. JOB DESCRIPTION * You will support the development and execution of the functional strategy. * You will drive strategic finance initiatives in a large R&D organization. * You will contribute to portfolio-related and PMO-related activities tied to strategic priorities. * You will develop and strengthen governance processes and management systems. * You will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up. * You will drive prioritization together with commercial and business stakeholders. * You will monitor strategic initiatives and follow up on business priorities. * You will build strong collaboration across R&D, Finance, and other cross-functional functions. * You will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the business. * You will contribute with Data & AI-related capabilities where relevant. REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering & Management, Engineering, or a related field. * Approximately 5 years of experience in leadership, project management, finance, business development, or similar strategic roles within an R&D or complex corporate environment. * Proven experience driving strategic initiatives across multiple business functions. * Strong experience managing stakeholders in large, matrix organizations. * Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. NICE TO HAVE * Experience from strategic finance or business development. * Experience supporting organizational development or functional strategy. * Previous experience within product development or R&D organizations. * Additional language skills. In this role, you will help shape how the function works, support strategic decision-making, and create stronger collaboration between R&D, management, and finance stakeholders. This is a broad role for you if you enjoy working close to leadership while also driving practical progress in strategy, planning, and follow-up. You will move between long-term direction and day-to-day coordination, with plenty of opportunity to influence how priorities are set and how strategic initiatives are executed. The role is especially interesting if you want to combine business development, strategic finance, and organizational improvement in a complex industrial setting. JOB DESCRIPTION * You will support the development and execution of the functional strategy for the business area. * You will drive strategic finance initiatives connected to the R&D organization. * You will support strategy management activities and help follow up on key priorities and initiatives. * You will manage and further develop the R&D management system and related governance processes. * You will contribute to yearly financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting. * You will work with commercial stakeholders to support prioritization for the brand portfolio. * You will establish and strengthen collaboration interfaces between R&D, group functions, and finance. * You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across management, R&D, and group-level organizations. * You will contribute with Data and AI-related capabilities where relevant. REQUIREMENTS * You have a Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering and Management, Engineering, or Economics. * You have approximately 5 years of experience within leadership, project management, finance, or similar roles within R&D or cross-functional environments. * You have experience driving strategic initiatives in a complex organizational environment. * You have experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. * You are fluent in English, written and spoken. NICE TO HAVE * Experience from an R&D organization in the automotive or industrial sector. * Experience in strategic finance or business development. * Experience supporting organizational development or functional strategy. * Swedish language skills.
