Your future team You'll become part of our Regulatory team within R&D in Lund - a group of seven experienced and knowledgeable colleagues who together play a crucial role in enabling Axis hardware products to reach markets globally. The team is the hub that our R&D projects and colleagues worldwide turn to when it comes to certification and regulatory requirements for our hardware products. What you'll do here as Regulatory Engineer R&D As a Regulatory Engineer R&D, your main task is to support our R&D projects with knowledge around the certification of our hardware products. The projects teams are responsible for scheduling and coordination, while you act as their regulatory anchor. You help the projects understand the requirement frameworks, provide regulatory support during external testing, and ensure that all documentation is handled correctly for global market access. In this role, you will: Support to R&D projects: Assist the projects with knowledge regarding regulatory requirements according to LVD, EMC, RED and equivalent requirements in other countries. Regulatory support toward test houses: Act as the projects' regulatory support in the dialogue with external test houses. Global Market Access & certification support: Contribute regulatory knowledge for global certifications and handle the documentation required for international market access. Global support within Axis: Answer questions from Axis' global organization regarding products' certification status and regulatory conditions in different markets. Administration: Ensure that the project's regulatory deliverables (test reports, certificates, Declaration of Conformity) are uploaded to the correct databases and that all documentation is complete ahead of launch. We'd love to hear that you have/are: Good knowledge of regulations such as LVD, EMC and RED, as well as equivalent global requirements Experienced within the area of regulatory compliance and certification A strong communicator in English, both spoken and written, as you support the global organization and review international documentation Bonus points for (but not required): Experience of or familiarity with the certification of products with Bluetooth. As a Development Engineer - Mechanics, you will: Participate in and drive the development process from concept and design to prototyping, verification, industrialization, and product maintenance. Work in a cross-functional team including product owners, scrum masters, mechanical engineers, electronics and software developers, production engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing. Take responsibility for test strategies, design decisions, manufacturing documentation, and documentation in accordance with applicable requirements and standards. Initiate and implement improvements to manufacturing methods and introduce them into production. Collaborate closely with suppliers in technical discussions. Key responsibilities: Take ownership of mechanical design in technical development projects. Concept development, detailed design, and verification. Prototype development and testing. Prepare manufacturing documentation and fixtures. Product maintenance and troubleshooting for existing products. We are seeking someone with: A Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. At least 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent, in mechanical product development. Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Extensive experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks). Preferred skills and experiences: · Design for volume manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA) and GD&T. Material and process expertise - plastic design, molding and casting processes, and metal machining. Understanding of dynamic forces, such as recoil loads. Experience with PLM systems and FEM analyses. · Cross-functional experience within areas such as electromechanics, optics, testing, and quality. Industry-specific merits - knowledge of weapon systems; competitive shooting, hunting or military.
