care for the better. Summary: This position works with the clinical staff, physicians/advanced practitioners, clerical staff, and
the manager in the coordination of assigned staff, equipment, and resources to facilitate smooth daily operational flow in the
specialty clinics. They optimize patient care and direct and assist the assigned staff in their daily work processes.
Responsibilities 1. Patient care duties include administer and document injections, dispense and document medications as directed
by physician/provider; assist with coordination of further patient care and follow-up and carry out tasks as directed by
physician/provider. This includes label and handle labs, cultures, and other specimens, prepare laboratory and imaging
requisitions. May include communication with patient, hospital, labs, imaging centers, pharmacies, physician offices, insurance
plans. 2. In conjunction with the manager, manages patient triage calls and seeks out direction from providers as needed and
assures documentation is reflective of disposition. Provides backup to medical assistant responsibilities when required. 3.
Provides patient and family education on how to perform physician recommended care, take prescribed medication, prepare for tests
or procedures, and monitor treatment progress. 4. Demonstrates clinical expertise and serves as a resource for the clinical staff.
5. Monitors inventory and orders medical supplies as well as follow up on all outstanding orders. 6. In conjunction with the
manager, holds regular clinical meetings with staff to review clinical Key performance indicators (KPI) and implement/monitor
process improvement plans. 7. In collaboration with the manager, mentors, orients, trains, assists in staff development, and
directs clinical staff. 8. Completes new hire and annual clinical competencies for clinical staff. Arranges education and training
sessions for professional development. 9. Provides input to manager for employee performance appraisals and goal setting. 10. In
conjunction with the manager, participates in the interviewing process for new staff and provides feedback for hiring. 11.
Monitors clinical equipment and works with the biomedical department to maintain and address any equipment concerns. 12. In
collaboration with the manager, proactively solves problems, administrative issues, or patient complaints in a timely and
effective manner. Escalates issues and concerns proactively to Manager, or clinic practice Leadership, as needed. 13. Assists
manager with policy revisions and participates in audits for compliance with all regulatory requirements. 14. Fulfills all
compliance responsibilities related to the position. 15. Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values. 16. Demonstrates regular,

approved nursing program Current Connecticut RN License Three (3) years nursing experience Prefer: bachelor’s degree in nursing

POSITION SUMMARY: The Nursing Clinical Adjunct is responsible for the general effectiveness of the clinical experiences. He/she has primary responsibility for preparing and teaching clinical and/or laboratory nursing courses. The Nursing Clinical Adjunct works with the Lead Clinical Faculty, Clinical Coordinator, and the Program Director. This position is in-person. Not Remote. KEY JOB ELEMENTS: 1. Supervises students in clinical practice, internships, observations, field experiences, nursing labs, and other similar course and graduation requirements 2. Counsels or refers students with identified clinical performance problems. 3. Maintains the highest moral and ethical standards as an educator, as a nursing professional, and as a responsible member of the community. 4. Debriefs and evaluates students in clinical practice, observations, and field experiences. 5. Teaches the number of hours and courses stated in the employment contract for the stated time periods. 6. Meets all clinicals and other scheduled responsibilities such as office hours and meetings at the designated time. 7. Articulates course learning outcomes or objectives to ensure student understanding of course learning objectives and expectations. 8. Assists the Lead Clinical Faculty with the creation of the course/clinical syllabus 9. Creates course materials required to deliver course information in an understandable and interesting manner to ensure students are engaged with the course material to facilitate achievement of the course learning outcomes. 10. Adheres to identified office hours and be available to assist students to understand course content and/or clinical scenarios to facilitate the comprehension of materials through one-to-one meeting or in assists students to master course material by being available through “office hours” and or small group sessions REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s degree: with a master’s degree in nursing preferred * Two years’ experience in the clinical specialty area * Preferred specialty areas sought are medical-surgical nursing, intensive care, or emergency department settings. * Membership in a professional association related to area of instruction preferred. * Current knowledge in area of clinical practice. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations. * Outstanding conflict resolution skills. * Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills * Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills) * Demonstrated clinical competency and professional standards of practice. Position Summary The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the acceptance, processing and coordination of all referrals for patient care services. Determines eligibility and benefits for new referrals or readmissions, obtains authorizations and secures financial obligations for new admissions or readmissions. Coordinates with pharmacy, nursing and client service specialists to initiate patient care services. Essential Functions and Duties * Answers telephones utilizing appropriate etiquette and speaks referral sources, patient, family members, clinicians and payors. * Initiates the intake process gathering relevant data from the referral source required to admit patient to NuFactor services. * Notifies departments of new referrals and coordinates information amongst referral sources, clinicians and sales. Provide appropriate documentation to clinical departments for initiation of services. * Determines patients financial obligation, out of pockets expense and copays. Contacts patients prior to start of services to discuss financial obligations and make arrangements for payments. * Completes start of care paperwork for patient signature ie; admissions agreement, financial obligation, advanced beneficiary notice, compassionate care application as required prior to initiation of services and tracks the return of signed copies within NuFACTOR system of record. * Enters complete referral information into NuFACTOR system of record.
