Under limited supervision, diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on numerical control, computerized numerical
control, precision, and conventional machine tools, and other production equipment used in the development, manufacture, and
testing of products. Areas of specialization may include: electrical, mechanical, vacuum, hydraulic, refrigeration, NC repair, and
machine tool rebuilding. Uses measuring instruments and diagnoses and makes general repairs to production equipment. Determines
replacement parts as needed. Performs limited welding, basic plumbing, and or grinding activities. Works from prints and
schematics. Skills typically acquired through 2-3 years experience.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment. This role is responsible for performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure
maximum equipment reliability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical
troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN The Industrial Maintenance Technician will employ a hands-on approach, working with other technicians to complete routine maintenance, corrective repairs and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This position is based at our Upholstery Division in Newton, NC. Responsibilities: * Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures and electrical systems in an industrial environment. * Visually inspect/test machinery and equipment to diagnose problems; repair defective/malfunctioning portions of systems * Install, program or repair automated machinery and equipment such as CNC routers. * Assembles new or modified mechanical components for routers and power equipment. * Perform/assist with repairs to dust collection system, including climbing silo for system repairs. * Assist with grounds maintenance, such as weed eating, mowing, parking lot maintenance, etc. * Driving the company dump truck to the landfill. Qualifications/Skills: * 5 plus years of strong experience working as a technician in an industrial environment. * Strong DC and AC electrical skills * Strong Pneumatic and Mechanical Skills * Clean driving record * Welding and basic fabrication experience is preferred but not required. * Ability to lift 50 lbs * Must be 18 years of age or older. Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial is a newly established branch of the Turkish company Gemkom. It is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that operates in a number of areas and in various ways within the steel industry. We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. Our mission is, among other things, to install machines used in steel production and includes work in mechanics, electronics and plumbing. We are seeking diligent Maintenance Technicians to join our team for the preservation and protection of mechanical equipment at a DRI plant. This role focuses on ensuring that machinery, currently stored or installed in open-air environments without HVAC systems, remains in optimal condition through rigorous preservation protocols. The work tasks may include but are not limited to: Job Description Environmental Protection: Implement measures to protect exposed machinery and equipment from adverse weather conditions and humidity. Corrosion Control: Apply VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) treatments and other surface protection methods to machined parts and sensitive surfaces. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine greasing of bearings and execute periodic shaft rotations (turning) to prevent equipment degradation. Climate Management: Monitor and implement heating solutions for specific machinery components as required by technical specifications. Inventory & Documentation: Keep accurate records of all preservation activities and periodic maintenance cycles. Desirable qualifications (not mandatory) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or industrial preservation. Education: Vocational training or certification in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Technical Skills: Familiarity with mechanical machine elements & assemblies. Also, knowledge about specialized greases and surface corrosion protection applications. Physical Capability: Fully comfortable for working at heights. Mindset: High attention to detail and a proactive approach to preventing equipment damage. Knowledge about periodical maintenance. What We Offer Immediate start in a large-scale industrial project.
