WHAT IS THE ROLE As Procurement Operations Manager, your primary focus will be to architect and manage the systems, processes, and analytical frameworks that empower the global sourcing and procurement organization. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing in North America, to transform procurement operations into a data-driven engine of efficiency. You will work closely with global sourcing leads to drive value through operational excellence, automation, and high-quality organizational metrics across all technical and non-technical spend categories. This role is highly cross-functional and requires consistent liaison with IT, Accounts Payable, and other key departments across the company to ensure operational alignment. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Operations, Systems, & Analytics You will work with the Sourcing Leader to: * Act as project manager for the Sourcing team, keeping key projects on track and supporting weekly key deals reviews. * Improve procurement and contract management policies, processes, and procedures while ensuring compliance. * Develop and track key metrics including contract review cycle time, savings, supplier consolidation and relationship management, risk reduction and management, and improved visibility and control of expenditures. * Strengthen reporting and analytics across procurement and contract activities to highlight trends, risks, challenges, and opportunities. * Support implementation of systems and tools that drive productivity gains across procurement, sourcing, and contract management. * Serve as subject matter expert for procurement tools such as Workday, Lucid, BigQuery, Tableau, Netsuite, and Omnea, ensuring system integrity. * Support new procurement tool implementation through cross-functional collaboration and representation of sourcing interests. * Build and maintain advanced analytics dashboards for real-time visibility into global spend, contract cycle times, and supplier performance. * Architect and automate intake-to-pay workflows to remove manual bottlenecks and improve stakeholder experience. Operational Support & Procurement Enablement You and your team will be: * Overseeing the contract administration lifecycle and coordinating review processes using established playbooks to ensure compliance. * Managing tactical, high-volume procurement proposals and bids aligned with broader category strategies and technical requirements. * Operationalizing global agreements by partnering with Legal and IT to streamline execution of SOWs, MSAs, and NDAs. * Owning the training curriculum for the sourcing and procurement team to support development and knowledge sharing. * Rolling out automation projects to improve operations and efficiencies within the Sourcing team. WHAT YOU BRING * Expertise in procurement tools and systems implementation, including Workday, ServiceNow, Tableau, Lucid, Netsuite, Omnea, and similar platforms. * Strong analytics and reporting skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data and improve procurement visibility. * Experience automating procurement workflows and intake-to-pay processes to drive productivity gains. * A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, law, or equivalent, plus 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in sourcing and procurement operations. * Deep understanding of vendor contracts, purchasing, and contract review processes, with a focus on compliance and efficiency. * Experience leading international procurement operations and contract teams in global high-growth technology companies. * Ability to translate complex contractual terms into operational workflows and playbooks in partnership with Legal teams. * Strong leadership, coaching, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage a distributed team and influence business partners. * Ability to build strong relationships with key business partners and vendors, and lead purchasing projects across categories. * Flexibility to support global time zones, especially North America, and willingness to travel as needed. * A self-starter mindset with a positive, can-do attitude, initiative, and focus on results. * Passion for operational improvement, productivity gains, and performance metrics. * Proven ability to govern and orchestrate AI agents for tail spend management and contract intelligence, while helping upskill the procurement team for the AI era. * Active participation in procurement networks and industry forums such as SIG, with strong knowledge of AI-driven procurement tools, automation, and emerging trends. We also play a significant role in structuring and approving all significant transactions within Elastic, thus helping to craft all future contracts that drive our revenue growth WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING * Act as a business partner to Sales and Finance in developing strategies for complex deals with a focus on financial and revenue compliance * Execute against and maintain EMEA geographic Deal Desk support framework * Provide Deal Desk support for super-geo Manager * Enforce and manage approvals for non-standard deals and effectively collaborate across Sales, Finance, and Legal * Serve as a trusted adviser to sales executives and their teams on pricing, product configuration, and business terms to support sales efforts * Strong presence and communication with the Field. * Ability to execute strategies and manage under supervision sales enablement, deal optimization, profitability and strategic positioning initiatives * Drive and execute decision reviews, approvals, and executing across competencies (quoting, legal, revenue, etc.) * Support the global Deal Desk leadership to deliver consistent and exceptional support to our sales organization * Propose and execute initiatives as part of the long term strategy for the Deal Desk team and business * High-energy, team-first attitude: motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business * Deal Management * Assess Financial and revenue risk on non-standard deals and understand and embed financial/legal compliance * Propose and incorporate custom terms and legal edits into order forms and contract documents * Coordinate and manage cross-departmental approvals outside of standard systematic workflow * Maintain and update repository of legal language templates for non-standard deals for specific offerings * Understand and enforce revenue recognition policies across all deals * Support RFP/RFI/Vendor Questionnaires and drive the enablement process related to such requests. * Quote to Cash * Create and manage systematic CRM workflows around Deal Desk sales engagement and Revenue team alerting for non-standard orders * Conduct due diligence and construct financial and legal requirements for changes in existing offerings and launch of new offerings * Identify gaps in current Deal Desk processes (both operational and systematic) and create improvements for efficiencies * General experience in building IT requirements and enhancements, and project management * What You Bring * Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related competency * At least 5 year of experience in Sales Operations, Channel Operations, Deal Desk, Contract Administration or related * MBA preferred * Strong attention to detail while multitasking * Strong communication skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment * High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and GSuite, Salesforce(CPQ a plus) * Experience working in a SaaS or high-tech company is also a plus     Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.   At Elastic, our compensation philosophy aims to provide fair, competitive and transparent remuneration.
