Regulatory Counsel Our dynamic APAC Regulatory team is looking for a Regulatory Counsel who has experience with the payments, financial service or fintech industry in Australia/New Zealand. In this role, you will enable Adyen to create unique business opportunities while making ethical choices. To do this, you must have strong analytical and communication skills as well as pragmatic and strategic thinking while advising internal and external stakeholders on regulatory matters. What you'll do: * Monitor regulatory developments in legislative and policy environment and advise on its impact to Adyen * Represent the team on a variety of workstreams and drive the regulatory strategy * Operationalise regulatory requirements in Australia and New Zealand for Adyen * Collaborate and provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters in Australia and New Zealand ranging from regulatory engagement, regulatory strategy and product launches * Manage various routine and ad hoc regulatory requests and filings for both Australia and New Zealand * Advise on various matters with merchants, service providers, internal and external stakeholders, in line with Adyen’s commercial and strategic objectives which allow for scale Who you are: * You are qualified as a lawyer in Australia * You have strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills * You have strong research, statutory interpretation and organisation skills * You demonstrate ability to conduct analysis of policy issues * You have at least 5+ years experience in a regulatory or legal role  * You have some working knowledge of the payment industry, retail banking, acquiring and finance * You will be a critical thinker, strategic and have innovative problem-solving skills * Your strong sense of initiative, independence and ability to take ownership enabling you to contribute to a fast-growing business * You have an unrestricted practising certificate Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments  Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. About the role The APAC Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing risk management activities across Verifone’s APAC entities, including outsourced compliance operations. This role partners closely with internal teams and serves as a key point of contact for regulatory authorities, providing strategic guidance on compliance frameworks, particularly in ABAC, third‑party due diligence, and payments regulation. What you'll do: * Ensure compliance across APAC entities, including oversight of outsourced compliance and risk functions * Act as the primary liaison with APAC regulatory agencies alongside the Compliance team * Provide advisory support on regulatory requirements, with focus on ABAC, third‑party due diligence, and payments regulation * Lead and manage Anti‑Bribery & Anti‑Corruption programs (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, OECD, and APAC laws) * Oversee ABAC casework, including gifts & hospitality, conflicts of interest, and related approvals * Manage third‑party due diligence programs covering distributors, agents, suppliers, and partners * Drive distributor and reseller risk management, including sanctions exposure and end‑user screening * Oversee supply chain due diligence aligned with CS3D and Modern Slavery requirements * Support Modern Slavery Act reporting and APAC human rights disclosures * Conduct APAC regulatory horizon scanning and provide proactive insights * Provide second‑line compliance support across AML/CTF, sanctions, whistleblowing, and investigations * Maintain integrity risk analysis, compliance frameworks, and governance structures * Execute compliance calendar and ensure continuous policy updates and improvements * Educate and coach teams on compliance best practices and foster a strong compliance culture What qualifications will you need to be successful? * Bachelor’s degree in legal, Law or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of proven experience in compliance roles within APAC, preferably in payments, fintech, or financial services * Strong knowledge of ABAC regulations (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, APAC local laws) * Expertise in third‑party due diligence, sanctions, and risk management * Experience engaging with regulatory bodies in APAC * Solid understanding of AML/CTF, modern slavery, and supply chain compliance * Ability to manage complex compliance frameworks and risk registers * Strong stakeholder management, communication, and advisory skills * Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast‑paced, global, and matrixed environment * High integrity, attention to detail, and sound judgment Our commitment Verifone is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. THE ROLE We're hiring an APAC Payroll Specialist to help build and scale payroll as Legora continues to grow across the region. Working closely with our Global Payroll Manager, you'll help ensure payroll runs smoothly across multiple APAC countries in an outsourced setup, while also shaping the processes, controls, and ways of working that will support our continued expansion. This is not a role where you'll spend most of your time processing payroll yourself. Instead, you'll coordinate with external payroll providers, review and quality-check their work, and help improve how we work as we enter new markets. As the function develops, there will also be room to shape parts of the role based on your strengths and interests. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING * Act as point of contact for external payroll providers, coordinating monthly payroll cycles and deadlines * Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery across all countries * Act as backup to Global Payroll Manager in times of absence * Perform payroll validations and reconciliations, and review payroll reports to identify discrepancies * Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies * Support audits and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation * Help build, standardize, and improve payroll processes, including developing clear workflows and driving automation and efficiency initiatives * Manage payroll inputs from our HR system (HiBob) and ensure data quality and completeness * Collaborate with HR and Finance on reporting, reconciliations, and payroll-related queries, and communicate with vendors to avoid and resolve issues WHO YOU ARE To thrive in this role, we see that you are structured and process-driven, take strong ownership and accountability, and bring a problem-solving mindset to a fast-moving environment.
