We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6000 software sellers in 245 territories globally. The Role: The Experience Group at Paddle is made up of several closely connected teams. Two of those, Dashboard and Developer Experience (DX), are hiring for this role. Dashboard transforms our seller-facing products into rich, seamless experiences that help thousands of customers run and grow their business on Paddle, and shapes our design system to drive consistency and adoption across multiple products. Developer Experience makes Paddle a world-class platform to integrate with, owning our docs platform at developer.paddle.com, our SDKs and public libraries, and the tooling that makes integrating with Paddle simple and enjoyable. As a Senior Frontend Engineer in the Experience Group, you'll lead frontend craft across the products that thousands of organisations rely on, from small businesses and independent developers to the next generation of AI-native builders, whether that's the seller dashboard, our design system, or the developer-facing surfaces sellers and their engineers hit every day. TypeScript, React, and our design system are core to the work, alongside React Router 7 on the dashboard side and Astro on the docs side. You'll partner with product managers, designers, and technical writers, using our design system as a bridge between design intent and engineering reality, and you'll ensure that our UI surfaces remain consistent, accessible, and high-fidelity at scale. You'll work with experts to achieve success, develop your own skills, and grow your career. What you'll do: * Lead and help shape frontend work across the Experience Group's products, from the seller-facing dashboard, to our docs platform (built on Astro) and DX initiatives like our app marketplace, transforming them into rich, seamless experiences that help our sellers grow and our developers integrate with ease. * Own the technical direction and lifecycle of products and tooling in your remit, including public libraries like Paddle.js and our Node SDK, from technical planning through rollout and long-term maintenance. * Shape and enhance our design system in collaboration with product designers, driving adoption across multiple products as both a consumer and a contributor. * Contribute high-quality TypeScript and React code in a large codebase used by several teams, optimising for collaboration, developer experience, and throughput. * Champion frontend excellence and ways of working across the frontend guild. * Level up the team's engineering practices through mentoring other engineers, leading the technical planning of team initiatives, and driving improvements to quality with an eye for edge cases. * Collaborate on features end-to-end with product managers, designers, technical writers, and other engineers, from initial concept and planning right through to rollout, with excellent written and verbal communication. * Practise DevOps: you're responsible for getting your code to production, supporting and monitoring its performance. We'd love to hear from you if you have: * Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and CSS, with a track record of leading medium-to-large frontend initiatives end-to-end at scale. * Hands-on experience with design systems as both a consumer and a contributor, ideally driving adoption across multiple products. * A deep interest in excellent user experiences and how they can be achieved through technical craftsmanship. * Experience mentoring other engineers, with strong written and verbal communication that works well with non-technical colleagues. * A proactive attitude towards finding ways to improve the code and team processes, and a strong understanding of the development process from design through to deployment and maintenance. * A product mindset and pride in what you build: you think about the people using what you ship, whether sellers or developers, with an eye for detail and edge cases. * An active curiosity about AI and how it's reshaping software development, with hands-on use already part of your day-to-day. ABOUT KYRA Kyra is an enterprise influencer marketing platform working with brands like SharkNinja, Coach, H&M, Ray-Ban, and Converse. Our platform manages the full lifecycle — creator discovery, campaign management, content review, payments, analytics, and AI-powered intelligence across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. 📍London (Hybrid) | 6-month Fixed-Term Contract 💰 Competitive, dependent on experience The Opportunity You will be the day-to-day owner of one of Kyra's largest and most complex global enterprise accounts: a fast-moving, multi-category consumer brand with 12+ sub-brands, 35+ active stakeholders, and campaigns running simultaneously across multiple regions. Your job is to keep delivery tight, keep the client happy, and be a safe pair of hands on a flagship account. This is not about growing or expanding the account. The commercial relationship is locked in. The job is world-class servicing at enterprise scale. What you'll do: * Own the global account relationship across 12+ sub-brands and multiple regions. Stay organised across a volume of comms, briefs, and stakeholders that is genuinely unusual. * Orchestrate cross-functional teams: creative, paid media, creator partnerships, and product. You are the connective tissue. If something drifts, you see it early and fix it. * If something drifts (performance, scope, relationship, or timeline) you see it early and fix it. No surprises. Steady, organised ownership. 🎯 Lead the Relationship Own client relationships across product launches, seasonal campaigns, and always-on programmes. Multi-thread across their teams. Build trust at every level. Have direct conversations when performance needs to improve. 📈 Turn Insight into Strategy Translate campaign data into clear, executive-level recommendations using AI to move from raw numbers to narrative faster. Present performance against KPIs (engagement, EMV, sales lift, affiliate impact) and explain what it means. 🔍 Own Delivery End-to-End Lead client onboarding for new briefs: build decks, verify SOW accuracy, coordinate internal teams, demo the platform. Manage timelines, scopes, budgets, and execution across our full product suite, including Always-On creator partnerships, Pulse campaigns, Makers (CGC), Amplify+ (paid boosting), Seeding+, and License+. With 6+ briefs running simultaneously, operational precision is everything. Keep work on-brand, on-time, and within margin. 📊 Protect & Grow Revenue Lead post-campaign analysis: run internal post-mortems, build PCA decks, present performance narratives. Own exec-ready reporting (QBRs/EBRs). Reporting should inform decisions, not just recap them. 🛡️ Keep the System Tight Keep tracking clean. Watch capacity. Fix what's inefficient. Make sure client feedback doesn't get lost. Feed client insights back into product development. Feed Insight Back into Product Surface client needs, pain points, and feature requests back into the product team. You are the closest person to how the client actually uses the platform. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who has: * 4–6+ years in influencer or creator marketing * Campaign execution experience. You have actually run creative marketing activations, not just managed client relationships from a distance. * Enterprise account servicing at scale. Multi-stakeholder, high-volume, complex. You have managed accounts with this many moving parts before. * Exceptional organisation. The volume of comms, briefs, regions, and stakeholders on this account is unusually high. Getting lost is easy. You don't get lost. * Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset. You take ownership of learning, build internal relationships proactively, and don't wait to be told what to do. * Strong hands-on campaign experience, with real fluency in TikTok. * AI fluency, applied. Our platform is AI-powered and you'll be expected to get up to speed fast and use it daily for client summaries, performance narratives, and campaign analysis. We're looking for people already comfortable using AI tools in their workflow, so the learning curve is the platform, not the concept. * Comfortable working across project management tools (Asana, Airtable, Slack) and reporting dashboards. * CPG or multi-category consumer brand experience is a plus. You should be commercially sharp, operationally reliable, and able to speak confidently about the accounts you've managed. Traits That Matter Proactive. Organised. Adaptable. Self-starting. Comfortable with ambiguity. You don't wait for problems to land. You see them coming and act. You don't need rigid processes or hand-holding. Tools, product, and ways of working evolve constantly here, and you thrive on that. You're willing to say "I don't know" and go find out. You take feedback well. You build trust fast. What Success Looks Like What Success Looks Like By Month 1: You have full context on all active sub-brands, briefs, and stakeholders. You've built a strong working relationship with the Campaign Director and the internal pod. The client knows your name and trusts you to run things. By Month 3: Delivery is running smoothly across all regions. You own reporting and client comms without oversight. Post-campaign analysis is sharp and drives clear recommendations. Internal teams come to you, not around you. By Month 6: The account is in better shape than when you arrived. Stakeholder satisfaction is high. Nothing has been dropped. Leadership trusts your judgement completely. Benefits 🏢 Hybrid working. 3 days per week in-office, 4 days during your first 2 weeks of onboarding. 🌴 Annual Time Off: 25 days PTO (pro-rated) + bank holidays (pro-rated), 4 company-wide days off (Kyra Days), 3 wellness days, and paid sick leave each year 📚 Growth: Annual Learning & Development budget to invest in your skills. 💰 Rewards: Annual bonus scheme to recognise great workAI is core to how we operate. Use it to elevate your work. But everything in your application should reflect your own judgement and experience. 💟 Support If you have a condition or require an adjustment to our interview process - please let us know so we can make adjustments to support you. THE ROLE We’re looking for a senior backend engineer with sharp product judgement. You’ll work alongside our engineering lead on a platform that processes millions of creator data points, runs real-time analytics, and powers AI-driven workflows. This isn’t a “wait for a fully-scoped ticket” role. You’ll take ambiguous direction, make calls, and ship features end-to-end — including deploying them yourself. We have infra already; we need someone who can operate inside it confidently, not someone who wants to rebuild it. WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO • Build and maintain domain modules in a DDD-style Node.js/TypeScript monorepo. • Take vague product direction, sharpen it into a real spec, and ship a v1 — then iterate. • Design APIs, write docs, and manage database schemas and migrations. • Build features that span our main transactional backend and a separate analytics backend running heavy queries over creator data. • Write services that integrate with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube APIs. • Work with queue workers for background job processing (media analysis, outreach, data syncing). • Deploy your own services to our cloud infrastructure, write the migrations, watch them go out safely. • Investigate production issues when they touch your code — trace through the observability stack to find the cause. REQUIRED — NON-NEGOTIABLE • 6+ years backend development with Node.js and TypeScript in production. • Product mindset — you’ve shipped features where the brief was a paragraph, not a ticket. You ask why before how, make calls when requirements are vague, and iterate after release. You’ve sat across from non-engineers and left with a sharper problem than you walked in with. • Strong relational database experience — schema design, query optimisation, safe migrations at scale. • Comfortable deploying and operating your own services on a major cloud provider — containers, CI/CD pipelines, the basics of running things in production. You don’t need to be an infra specialist, but you don’t need handholding either. • Queue-based background job processing patterns. • REST API design and documentation. • Git workflow maturity — branching strategies, code review, migration safety. You understand why you don’t run destructive commands on a production migration. STRONGLY PREFERRED • Shipped AI features to production — you know what evals are for, why prompts regress, and why “it worked in testing” isn’t enough. • Columnar / analytics databases for heavy aggregate queries. • In-memory caching and session stores. • DDD or domain-driven design — explicit module boundaries, repositories, services, event-driven patterns. • Production observability — you’ve triaged real issues, not just configured dashboards. • OAuth, OTP, or session-based auth systems in production. NICE TO HAVE • Social media platform APIs (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). • Search infrastructure for large datasets. • Monorepo tooling and workflows. • Side projects, OSS contributions, or tools you’ve built for yourself that other people now use — signal that you ship for the love of shipping. WHAT THIS PERSON LOOKS LIKE • Holds opinions and changes them fast — you’ll ship the wrong thing sometimes and replace it a week later. That’s the job. • Debugs across boundaries — when a metric shows the wrong number, you can trace it from the frontend component through the API layer down to the database query and figure out where it breaks. • Writes code that doesn’t need babysitting — proper validation, error handling, and patterns other team members can follow. • Communicates proactively — posts in Slack when deploying, writes migration plans before running them, documents API contracts for the frontend team. • Moves fast without breaking things — we deploy to production multiple times a week. You should be comfortable with that cadence while still being careful. TEAM A small, high-output engineering team (~10 people) led by the current engineering lead. Async standups, weekly refinement, ship directly to production. This is a heavy AI-usage environment — AI tooling is woven into how we build, review, and ship. Comfort using it daily is expected. 💟 Support If you have a condition or require an adjustment to our interview process - please let us know so we can make adjustments to support you. Please note that when you submit an application or resume, your data will be processed in line with our privacy policy.
