serving northeast, southeast, and southwest United States. Hood Lumber, a division of Hood Industries, Inc. is seeking a
Maintenance Manager (Asset Reliability) for our Bogalusa, LA facility. This position would lead the successful development and
implementation of the mills reliability program as well as manage the maintenance and electrical departments in all things related
to equipment reliability, talent acquisition, and team leadership and development. Purpose: Lead the overall manufacturing
operations by utilizing the Hood Management Philosophy of “The Hood Way” by engaging People and managing through Process to drive
sustainable Performance while maintaining positive employee relations, meeting the company’s production goals, while operating
within company policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Manage and direct the activities of plant
maintenance and electrical personnel, with gate-to-gate responsibility for the management of contracted workers. Develop and
implement a comprehensive asset management strategy for the lumber mill, prioritizing reliability and maximizing asset lifecycles.
Lead the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specific to asset reliability, tracking and reporting
on these KPIs to measure the effectiveness of maintenance efforts and identify areas for improvement. Oversee the implementation
of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs for all lumber mill equipment. Analyze equipment functions, potential failure
modes, and consequences of failure to create targeted PM tasks that maximize uptime and prevent catastrophic breakdowns. Champion
a culture of preventative maintenance throughout the organization. Lead efforts to shift from reactive maintenance approaches to
proactive strategies that focus on preventing equipment failures before they occur. Drive continuous improvement
initiatives within the maintenance department while improving asset utilization. Manage the maintenance budget to ensure resources
are allocated effectively towards maximizing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime costs. Monitors the use and inventories
of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. Establishes and maintains a
computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant
equipment. Communicate regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way
communication concerning maintenance issues. Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and modifications that enhance
reliability and maintainability, collaborating with other departments to implement these upgrades. Lead root cause analysis (RCA)
efforts for equipment failures. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve overall asset
reliability. Perform criticality analysis of assets to prioritize maintenance efforts. Stay up to date on the latest reliability
engineering practices such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Maintenance principles. Provide ongoing training and
development for maintenance personnel on reliability principles and best practices. Direct, maintain, and enforce policies and
procedures including safety and environmental requirements, upholding maximum safety standards for all maintenance technicians.
Responds to repair and modification requests from the Safety Committee and/or Safety and Environmental Manager. Manage work
schedules to ensure the department’s resources and time are used in the most efficient manner. May also have additional
responsibilities related to the operations of the plant, as assigned. Demonstrate commitment to the team and vision for the
facility. This may include duties and responsibilities as assigned and a flexible schedule. Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum
of 5 years of plant maintenance experience, with a strong background in reliability. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in
plant maintenance with a proven leadership track record. Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and asset
management best practices. Proven ability to develop and implement KPI’s to measure maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.
Experience with managing maintenance budgets and allocating resources effectively. Strong track record for implementing continuous
improvement initiatives in a maintenance or asset management environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to
effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, procurement) on reliability-focused projects.
Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and guide the maintenance team towards a culture of reliability and continuous
improvement. Computer knowledge including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CMMS. Preferred
Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related discipline. Continuous education in
a degreed program, and/or additional certifications. Experience with reliability centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies and PdM
technologies. Proficiency in using reliability analysis tools such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and
cause-and-effect diagrams (Ishikawa diagrams). Salary Range - $111,000 - $138,000 Additional Information: Hood Industries offers a

This role leads the maintenance team with direct responsibility for hiring, development, performance management, and day-to-day supervision. The Maintenance Manager owns the preventive maintenance program, hazardous waste compliance program, and serves as the primary maintenance point of contact for production, engineering, and R&D teams. This position requires a leader who operates with a high degree of ownership, drives results through people and process, and upholds the documentation and compliance standards that underpin the facility's operational and regulatory posture. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Directly supervise Maintenance Technicians I, II, and III across all shifts; manage scheduling, coverage, and on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 maintenance support * Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback, and complete formal performance reviews during annual cycles * Hold team members accountable to documentation standards, work order completion quality, and CMMS compliance; address performance gaps through structured corrective action when necessary * Identify skill development needs across the team; coordinate on-the-job training, vendor-led instruction, and external certification opportunities * Triage and prioritize corrective maintenance requests based on production impact and urgency; coordinate resources to minimize equipment downtime * Oversee execution of the preventive maintenance program across all production equipment and facility systems including furnaces, compressed air infrastructure, and instrumentation * Perform and support complex troubleshooting of furnace systems, compressed air systems, electrical systems, and additive manufacturing production equipment * Coordinate daily maintenance rounds; identify, document, and drive resolution of emerging equipment and facility issues before they impact production * Own the hazardous waste compliance program: oversee container labeling, accumulation timelines, and inspection logs * Ensure all maintenance records are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements; Job Overview: Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for directly managing a team of technically skilled staff within the Maintenance department, providing dynamic hands-on leadership and skilled problem solving who can continually develop the capabilities of their team while working with vendors and key internal stakeholders. The role’s main priority will be to support Give & Go’s long-term plan (LTP), through the creation and delivery of the department’s strategic initiatives on time.
