Teamcenter Solution Architect Development

The opportunity As a Digital Design Capability Architect/Lead, you will play a key role in establishing and evolving Hitachi Energy's Digital Design Capability across engineering domains including CAD, Electronic Design, BIM, and related engineering tools. The role focuses on creating an integrated engineering ecosystem enabled by a strong digital thread connecting design tools, PLM platforms, engineering data, and downstream business processes. You will work closely with engineering teams, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to define standards, improve engineering processes, establish reusable design frameworks, and drive adoption of modern digital engineering practices. You will help enable configurable and customizable product development while improving data quality, reuse, traceability, and collaboration across the product lifecycle. How You´ll Make an Impact Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Digital Design capabilities across CAD, Electronic Design, BIM, and other engineering applications. Define, maintain, and promote engineering standards, templates, reusable libraries, and best practices that support scalable product development. Support the development of an integrated digital thread by improving data flow and interoperability between CAD systems, PLM platforms, and other enterprise applications. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams to improve engineering efficiency, increase design reuse, and reduce rework. Participate in defining solution architectures, governance models, support structures, and capability roadmaps for engineering digitalization initiatives. Contribute to pilot programs, proof-of-concepts, and global deployment activities that demonstrate business value and support long-term capability growth. Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing expertise in engineering processes, digital design tools, product structures, configuration management, and lifecycle management. Support training, change management, and adoption activities to ensure successful implementation of new ways of working. Your Background Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Experience working with engineering applications such as CAD, PLM, Electronic Design, BIM, simulation, or related digital engineering platforms. Good understanding of product development processes, engineering data management, configuration management, and digital transformation initiatives. Experience with engineering integrations and digital thread concepts connecting design, engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise systems. Knowledge of PLM solutions such as Teamcenter or similar product lifecycle management platforms is highly desirable. Great analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical and scalable solutions. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global and cross-functional teams. Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or continuous improvement environments is considered an advantage. The Opportunity As a PLM Application Integration Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing integration solutions that connect PLM systems with enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow and alignment with business processes How You Will Make an Impact Partner with functional and business teams to gather integration requirements and define a scalable target integration architecture. Design and implement integration strategies between PLM systems and ERP, CAD, and other enterprise platforms. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve integration challenges to maintain system reliability, performance, and data integrity. Steer integration development activities, coordinating with internal and external technical teams. Apply industry best practices for PLM integration, data exchange, and cross‑system interoperability. Your Background Solid expertise in PLM platforms (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill) and their integration capabilities, including customization using ITK, SOA, or equivalent APIs. Proven experience integrating PLM systems with ERP (SAP S/4HANA), CAD tools (NX, ECAD), and other enterprise applications. Solid understanding of middleware technologies, APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and data exchange formats such as XML and JSON. Deep knowledge of PLM data models, configuration practices, and end‑to‑end integration scenarios. Experience mapping business processes to PLM integration frameworks and ensuring alignment across engineering and enterprise systems. Exceptional ability to troubleshoot integration issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and maintain system performance and data integrity. Hands‑on exposure to complex, large‑scale PLM implementations involving multi‑system BOM synchronization and distributed supplier ecosystems. Understanding of enterprise integration patterns, service‑oriented architecture (SOA), and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and XSLT.
