ABOUT THE ROLE Orchard Fostering is an Irish company established in 2008 that provides fostering and supported lodging services to children and young people who are referred to its service by TUSLA. Supporting the Team Leader in achieving the aims set for the Service within organisational policies and in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Focusing on providing the highest possible standards of care, support, and protection for children while collaborating with colleagues to meet these objectives. We currently have an opportunity for a full time Social Care Worker, to join our team to support our service on a 5 day week, 39 hours per week. Location: We welcome applicants nationwide, though candidates located in Carlow, Westmeath, Kildare, Louth, Longford, Laois, Dublin & Wicklow or surrounding areas, would be most suitable for the role due to travel requirements. Main Duties: 1. To take a flexible and creative approach understanding individuals needs and engaging in activities while working with children, young people, and foster families. 2. Provide direct support work to children, engage in supervised family visits and offer support to foster carers as required. 3. To facilitate respite and educational workshops with children, young people, and foster families. 4. Maintain detailed records of sessions, meetings, including progress and reporting findings to relevant teams as required while adhering to organisational standards and confidentiality protocols. 5. Communicate closely with the Support Team Leader and work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders via regular meetings and detailed reports as required. 6. Taking responsibility for specific aspects of the service such as children’s health promotion, links with education and community involvement. 7. To undertake recording of work including computerised recording in compliance with the company’s recording policy and standards. 8. Complying with childcare legislation, regulations, and child protection procedures, as well as undertaking mandatory training related to the Children’s First Act 2015. 9. Staying informed about Orchard Fostering policies and procedures to ensure adherence. Essential Requirements * A recognised qualification in Social Care or appropriate recognised qualification through CORU. Evidence of application to CORU will be necessary. * Previous experience in the foster care field is desirable but not mandatory. Ideally, post graduate experience of working directly with children, young people and families. * High standard of report writing skills and computer literacy. * Full driver’s license and access to own vehicle, as travel will be required for this post. * Experience of facilitation of training is desirable. * Must have valid Garda Clearance. * Must have valid Overseas Clearance if applicant lived abroad for more than 6 months. Alongside leveraging your artistic abilities, you’ll also mentor and manage a variety of artists in different disciplines, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential. You’ll be a naturally strong communicator and team leader, who can maintain the balance of artistic creativity and technical constraints to help us deliver visually stunning and immersive game experiences. As our Associate Art Director, you will: * Help to refine and sculpt the artistic vision of the game alongside our Art Director and Chief Creative Officer * Collaborate across teams to ensure the art direction complements gameplay * Lead and mentor our team of talented artists, giving regular feedback and check-ins on the work produced * Work to grow the team’s overall capabilities, maintaining and fostering a healthy culture that means everyone is hungry to be class leading across all disciplines. * Ensure we are delivering quality and consistency regarding the artwork we are creating for our projects * Communicate and celebrate art progress alongside highlighting risks and concerns looking to optimise the maximum potential of the team Requirements What we’re looking to see on your CV: * Proven experience as an Associate Art Director on released game projects within the AAA space. * Exceptional portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of artistic fundamentals, including composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. * Proficiency in industry-standard art tools (e.g., Photoshop, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Suite) and game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine). * Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a track record of guiding and developing artistic talent. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey artistic vision and provide constructive feedback across multiple disciplines. * Ability to balance creative ambition with production realities and technical constraints to deliver high-quality results on time. * Strong understanding of the game development process and the intersection of art and technology in game production.
