Egenskaper Vi söker dig med akademisk utbildning inom kemi eller närliggande område. Meriterande är yrkeserfarenhet inom analytisk kemi, oorganisk spektrometri, masspektrometri, jonbytes- och/eller extraktionskromatografi samt erfarenhet av ICP-MS – men det är inget krav. Enheten för geovetenskap har ett team av forskare, som bedriver externt finansierade projekt och verksamhet inom nationella och internationella forskningsprogram, leder och understödjer infrastrukturer samt handleder forskare på doktors- och postdoktorsnivå. Enheten är värd för forskningsinfrastrukturen NordSIMS-Vegacenter: en svensk nationell anläggning för mikroanalys och mikroavbildning inom geo- och miljövetenskap, som omfattar en rad toppmoderna analysfaciliteter, däribland SIMS, TIMS, (LA-)HR-ICP-MS, Ramanspektrometer och SEM. Enheten har även utrustning för experimentell mineralogi och mineralanalys, inklusive ugnslaboratorium, röntgendiffraktometer, Mössbauerspektrometer samt FTIR-spektrometer. De pågående forskningsprojekten är fokuserade på jordskorpans utveckling, planetologi och lågtemperaturgeokemi. Enheten bedriver även forskning inom mineralogi, främst med fokus på mineralsystematik och mineralkemi, samt förvaltar en av Europas största mineralsamlingar. 1 plats(er). ARBETSUPPGIFTER Som förste intendent förväntas du bedriva högkvalitativ forskning inom mineralvetenskap, både självständigt och i samarbete med andra forskare, med användning av enhetens analysresurser. I arbetsuppgifterna ingår att utveckla och leda ett konkurrenskraftigt forskningsprogram, ansöka om och erhålla extern forskningsfinansiering samt rekrytera och handleda masterstudenter, doktorander och postdoktorer. Du ska även kunna vara värd för gästforskare. I tjänsten ingår också att ansvara för drift, underhåll och utveckling av NRM:s mineralogiska laboratorier samt att främja deras användning inom forskning och analys. Vidare ingår att medverka i museets utåtriktade verksamhet. Övriga arbetsuppgifter inom enheten och museet kan förekomma. KVALIFIKATIONER Den sökande ska ha doktorsexamen i mineralogi, kristallografi eller ett närliggande ämnesområde. Mycket god förmåga att uttrycka sig i tal och skrift på engelska samt postdoktoral forskningserfarenhet eller motsvarande är ett krav. As Analytical Chemist you are responsible for the development, validation, and implementation of analytical methods for analysing incoming material, intermediate and finalized products for Research & Development, Production, and external suppliers on a wide range of instruments.
