Arbetsbeskrivning Här arbetar över 100 medarbetare i team kring patienten, med både planerade och akuta operationer dygnet runt. Du blir en viktig del i att upprätthålla vår höga kvalitet och tillgänglighet i en verksamhet där samarbete, kompetens och engagemang står i centrum. Vi har inget uttalat sektionsarbete utan vill att alla ska ha en bred kompetens och handlingsberedskap för att klara av jourarbetet. Du kommer att ta hand om både akut verksamhet samt planerade operationer. Som operationssjuksköterska ansvarar du för patientens omvårdnad och säkerhet före, under och efter kirurgiska ingrepp. Du förbereder operationssalen genom att kontrollera medicinteknisk utrustning, duka upp sterila instrument och säkerställa att allt nödvändigt material finns tillgängligt. Under operationen arbetar du nära kirurgen och assisterar med rätt instrument i rätt tid, samtidigt som du har ansvaret för hygien och aseptik i operationssalen. Du instrumenterar, ser till att patienten ligger i korrekt läge, och kontrollerar att samtliga instrument, kompresser och material räknas före, under och efter ingreppet för att garantera patientens säkerhet. Vår verksamhetsutveckling bygger till stor del på att medarbetare själva bidrar med lösningar engagemang och tid för ansvarsarbete fördelas proportionerligt i förhållande till vad verksamheten prioriterar. Då vi tar emot studenter från flera olika utbildningar så ingår ett ansvar för handledning på olika nivå. Goda svenska språkkunskaper krävs i tal och skrift då du ska kommunicera med patienter, närstående och kollegor, samt dokumentera i journal. Du arbetar i ett tvärprofessionellt team tillsammans med kirurger, anestesisjuksköterskor och undersköterskor i en högteknologisk miljö med varierande arbetsuppgifter. Arbetet kräver god förmåga att hantera oförutsedda situationer, förebygga komplikationer och dokumentera vårdarbetet. Department of Clinical Sciences We are seeking an clinically active veterinarian with broad experience in small animal practise and a particular interest in anesthesiology. About the position Your primary responsibilities will include responsibility for patients and patient safety in the daily clinical work and supervising students in anaesthesia and analgesia within the university clinics. Participation in the out-of-hours service is also expected. In your day-to-day role, you will be actively involved in the clinical teaching of veterinary students, interns, and residents. You will also provide guidance and support to veterinary nurses. Opportunities to engage in ongoing clinical research are available, and you may also contribute to lecturing, small group teaching, and assessing veterinary students. A crucial aspect of your work will involve advising and collaborating with veterinarians in other disciplines, such as intensive care and in patient care. Regular consultations with veterinarians, including referral veterinarians, are an integral part of this role. Your profile You have veterinary credentials from a university in Sweden or another EU/EEA country or in Switzerland and is eligible to practise veterinary medicine in Sweden. You thrive in a fast-paced international environment and combine strong technical aptitude with excellent communication, organizational, and training skills.   Qualifications & Experience Educational or professional background in healthcare, life sciences, medical technology, or related fields (e.g., biology, medical sciences, biomedical/medical engineering, nursing, or medicine) Experience in customer-facing roles such as training, clinical support, application support, or education is advantageous Experience working with medical devices, simulators, or other advanced technical systems is considered a strong asset Strong presentation, communication, and instructional skills Technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues Excellent organizational and time-management skills Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage Willingness and ability to travel frequently (approximately 50–60%), often on short notice, primarily within Europe   Personal Attributes Self-driven, reliable, and responsible Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Adaptable and comfortable working in an international environment with changing priorities and schedules Curious, hands-on, and motivated to continuously learn new technologies   Why join us?
