Your workplace

Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has six beds where we care for medical patients. The team consists of intensive care nurses, registered nurses and assistant nurses. About the position
We are looking for an intensive care nurse for a full‑time position (100%). Working hours can be adjusted based on your preferences, for example part‑time work or combining roles. We use a wish‑based scheduling system and we work together to ensure the best possible work schedule for everyone. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss options.
As an intensive care nurse you will provide advanced care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and with imminent or manifest failure in vital functions. You will monitor vital parameters and respond to changes as needed. You will work in a team with an assistant nurse and an anaesthesiologist. If conditions change during the shift, we support each other as a team. The work is varied, challenging, and offers daily learning opportunities. The department also includes a post‑anaesthesia care unit (UVA).
We want you to have the opportunity to continue growing professionally. Therefore, we offer the possibility to attend a 15‑credit advanced course in intensive care.
Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for a registered nurse with a specialist degree in intensive care nursing.
Personal qualities are important to us. We seek someone who is confident, reliable and highly motivated. You are independent, able to take initiative and willing to act based on your professional judgement. We value strong teamwork and communication skills, flexibility and a high level of quality awareness. You must have good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish. Din arbetsplats Barn- och ungdomspsykiatrin är regionens specialistresurs för barn och ungdomar med medelsvår till svår psykisk ohälsa. Verksamheten består av cirka 200 medarbetare från olika yrkesprofessioner. Dina arbetsuppgifter Tjänsten innebär att vara medicinskt ledningsstöd till verksamhetschef samt att ingå i verksamhetens ledningsgrupp. I uppdraget ingår att: Verka som medicinskt kompetensstöd till verksamhetschef. Stödja verksamhetschefen med medicinsk uppföljning och rapportering. Tillsammans med verksamhetsområdets ledningsgrupp delta i arbetet med att utforma regionsövergripande rutiner och riktlinjer. Tillsammans med verksamhetsområdets ledningsgrupp bereda medicinska frågor och ärenden. På uppdrag verka för att verksamheten inom området bedrivs utifrån gällande författningar och riktlinjer samt enligt vetenskapliga principer. Bidra vid Lex Maria-analyser och upprättande av yttranden till IVO när ärenden har anmälts till myndigheten. Department of Clinical Sciences We are seeking a board-certified International specialist (European or American College of Veterinary Surgery (ECVS or ACVS Diplomate) in small animal surgery; alternatively, you hold a recognised national specialist title in small animal surgery. About the position As a specialist in surgery at UDS, you will primarily work in the surgery department, postoperative care unit, and ICU. You will provide clinical services in a broad range of surgery cases; orthopaedics, soft tissue, and neurosurgery cases. You are part of our surgical team, which works with excellent veterinary care, teaching, and research. It is a varied and stimulating everyday life in a round-the-clock operation at Sweden's only university animal hospital. You will support and develop the surgery team, provide guidance and support to veterinary nurses, ensure that the flow through the surgery department is efficient and safe for the patients, supervise and teach students as well as residents and junior veterinarians. You aim to get involved in strategic development and management of the clinic. Participation in the out-of-hours service is also expected. Collaboration with colleagues within your discipline and across the faculty is a part of the role. Opportunities to engage in ongoing clinical research are available, and you may contribute to lecturing, small group teaching, and assessing veterinary students. If you are not already an occupational first-aid trainer, the ILL will help you gain this qualification. . You have sound knowledge in the area of occupational health and ensure that you keep your skills up to date with continuous professional development (CPD). . You are proficient in the use of computer software (Word, Excel, email) and you are able to adapt quickly to new software. . You are capable of managing emergencies, prioritising, and reporting efficiently. .
