Your opportunity New Relic is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our outstanding engineering organization! Technical Program managers play a vital role at New Relic leading the planning, execution, and delivery of large cross functional programs in support of our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is a strong Program Manager with a senior-level understanding of cloud, engineering, software, and systems development lifecycles. This TPM position will support Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives, contribute to measurement frameworks, and partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and business teams to deliver observability experiences at scale. The program will be focused on driving the end-to-end self-serve experience, from first visit through activation, retention, and expansion. What you'll do * Drive technical projects from ideation to delivery, including managing complex project schedules, removing roadblocks, and keeping processes running smoothly. * Identify and operationalize the metrics and key performance indicators necessary to track progress, and drive issue resolution & mitigation at a granular level across the organization. * Create and operationalize processes to transform the effectiveness of the organization with respect to meeting business goals. * Drive effective communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple stakeholders and disparate groups with competing priorities * Work with teams to identify and handle our top risks and drive decisions to align leadership on the right level of risk for each project. * Facilitate productive meetings from small (3-5 people) to large (100 people or more). This role requires * 8+ years of experience working on a software development team as a TPgM or engineering manager * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience * 6+ years in project and program management * 6+ years delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment * Understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, data pipelines, ML/rule based models and API integrations to manage cross-platform dependencies. Bonus points if you have * Experience with Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyzing user funnels, churn metrics, and system performance logs to prioritize engineering backlogs. * Familiarity with PLG concepts, experimentation, and metrics * Familiarity with monetization and billing platforms * Proven ability to integrate AI into existing workflows * Can anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. * Can drive programs with a significant amount of ambiguity and facilitate definition and clarity * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating with senior leadership * Inquisitive with technical and business skills to understand, test, and challenge while working harmoniously with the business and technology owners * A good understanding of the New Relic platform and its capabilities * Experience working with remote & distributed team * Prior experience with high-growth companies Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position. #LI-MM-4 #LI-Remote. WHAT'S EXCITING ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer is a hands-on technical role at the core of Verifone's cloud infrastructure function. You will design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure, drive automation through Infrastructure as Code, and champion Kubernetes-based container orchestration at scale — all while partnering closely with development teams to enable rapid, safe software delivery.This is a role for a cloud-native engineer who brings deep AWS and Kubernetes expertise, a strong automation mindset, and the drive to continuously improve reliability, security, and developer experience across a global engineering organization. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE DESIRE AWS & Cloud Infrastructure * Design and manage scalable AWS infrastructure across EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Lambda. * Own AWS account governance — including cost optimization, security posture, and multi-account strategies. * Implement and maintain cloud networking, load balancing, and DNS configurations. * Enforce AWS security best practices including IAM policies, secrets management, and compliance controls. Kubernetes & Container Orchestration * Lead the design, deployment, and operations of Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS. * Manage workload scheduling, autoscaling (HPA/VPA/KEDA), resource quotas, and namespace strategies. * Troubleshoot cluster and pod-level issues including networking (CNI), ingress, and storage. Infrastructure as Code * Build and maintain modular Terraform codebases for AWS and EKS provisioning. * Manage Terraform state, modules, and workspaces across a team environment. * Enforce IaC code review standards and GitOps workflows. CI/CD & Automation * Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD. * Automate operational tasks and reduce toil using Python scripting. * Build tooling to improve developer experience and deployment velocity. Monitoring & Reliability * Implement and maintain observability stacks including New Relic, CloudWatch, and Elastic. * Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems. * Drive SLO/SLA definitions and ongoing reliability improvements. QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role. * Deep AWS expertise across compute, networking, storage, and security services. * Expert-level Kubernetes knowledge — cluster administration, workload management, networking, and troubleshooting. * Strong Terraform skills with production-grade IaC, modules, and remote state management. * Hands-on Amazon EKS experience including managed node groups, Fargate, add-ons, and upgrades. * Solid Python scripting for automation and operational tooling. * Strong networking fundamentals — VPCs, subnets, security groups, VPNs, and DNS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE * Helm, Istio/Linkerd, ArgoCD/Flux, or HashiCorp Vault experience. * SRE practices and chaos engineering background. * Open source contributions relevant to the DevOps or cloud ecosystem. * Active certifications including CKA, CKAD, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
