INTRO Wir suchen einen Lead Software Engineer (m/w/x), der die langfristige technische Ausrichtung der Plattform mitgestaltet, die FACTUREEs digitale Transformation der Fertigungsindustrie vorantreibt. Du wirst Teil eines kleinen Teams engagierter Software Engineers und arbeitest eng mit Product und QA zusammen, um unsere Architektur weiterzuentwickeln, Engineering Standards zu etablieren und sicherzustellen, dass unsere Plattform auch mit weiterem Wachstum skalierbar und langfristig wartbar bleibt. Diese Rolle ist eine technische Führungsposition und keine People-Management-Rolle. DEINE AUFGABEN BEI UNS * Die Gesamtarchitektur unserer Plattform definieren und kontinuierlich weiterentwickeln * Modularität, Wartbarkeit, Skalierbarkeit und die langfristige technische Konsistenz unserer Systeme verbessern * Technische Risiken frühzeitig erkennen und nachhaltige Architekturentscheidungen treffen, die zukünftige Komplexität reduzieren * Engineering Standards etablieren und unsere Development Practices kontinuierlich weiterentwickeln * Eine starke Code-Quality- und Review-Kultur fördern und pragmatische Engineering Excellence vorantreiben * Engineers durch Mentoring, Pairing, Architekturberatung und technische Entscheidungsfindung unterstützen * Engineers dabei helfen, Ownership für ihre technischen Domänen zu übernehmen und gleichzeitig die Konsistenz der Gesamtplattform sicherstellen * Engineering Practices für AI-gestützte Softwareentwicklung gestalten und Qualitätsstandards für deren effektiven Einsatz etablieren * Eng mit dem AI Application Engineer zusammenarbeiten, um AI-Funktionalitäten nachhaltig und wartbar in unsere Plattform zu integrieren * Gemeinsam mit Product Lösungen entwerfen, technische Machbarkeit bewerten sowie Implementierungs-Trade-offs und Projektrisiken einschätzen * Selbst aktiv an architekturrelevanten und technisch anspruchsvollen Themen mitarbeiten DEINE FACHLICHEN KOMPETENZEN * Mehrjährige Erfahrung als Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer oder Staff Engineer mit wesentlicher Verantwortung für Architektur * Nachweisbare Erfahrung in der Weiterentwicklung komplexer Produktivsysteme über mehrere Jahre hinweg, mit einem guten Gleichgewicht zwischen Business-Anforderungen und technischer Nachhaltigkeit * Fundierte Fullstack-Erfahrung, insbesondere mit Node.js, TypeScript und React (oder vergleichbaren Technologien) * Tiefes Verständnis von Backend-Architekturen, APIs, verteilten Systemen, Integrationen und klaren Systemgrenzen * Erfahrung im Design wartbarer, skalierbarer und langfristig erweiterbarer Systeme * Fundierte Erfahrung mit produktiven AWS-Umgebungen sowie serverless oder event-driven Architekturen (z. B. As our Senior Platform Engineer, you'll own the technical side of this space entirely, reviewing how it's built today, driving the implementation of new technologies, and leading the move towards AI-powered support. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING * Run and maintain our corporate infrastructure hosted in AWS * Maintain and administer infrastructure deployment tools * Be self motivated to build high quality, scalable systems with cross-functional teams * Be able to think critically, get into the details and change directions rapidly * Be able to handle multiple contending priorities and effectively plan your work accordingly * Navigate existing technologies and quickly learn and adapt to new technologies * Make recommendations for the improvement and development of IT systems OUR HUMBLE EXPECTATIONS * You have 4+ years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineering role * You have demonstrated experience with Python, bash and other scripting fundamentals * You have solid hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker, and high familiarity with GCP and Azure * You have 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as a Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi. * You have 2+ years of experience working with microservices * You understand that monitoring/observability is equally important.
