Due to increasing market opportunities and an ever-growing product range, Thermoteknix is expanding its engineering capacity by
creating a New Product Introduction (NPI) team within R&D.
As a member of the new NPI team, you will be responsible for leading the software driven automation and test aspects of
transitioning products from development into scalable, repeatable manufacturing. You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing,
and quality teams, drawing upon your existing software knowledge to implement comprehensive automated testing and validation
protocols.
Additionally, you will contribute to the enhancement of existing software to boost production test speed and ensure that products
are thoroughly tested and validated.

ABOUT YOU Role Overview We are seeking a Software Engineer with at least three years of professional experience in C++ development to design, implement, and maintain high-performance, reliable software systems. The role involves working across the full development lifecycle, with emphasis on efficient algorithms, robust system design, and maintainable code. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain software applications using modern C++. * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices. * Participate in system architecture and design discussions. * Debug, profile, and optimise applications for performance and scalability. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, QA, and product stakeholders. * Contribute to code reviews. * Develop and maintain unit and integration tests. * Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines. * Troubleshoot issues in production and provide timely resolutions. * Specify and document where required. Required Skills & Experience * Minimum 3 years of professional experience in C++ development. * Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. * Experience with modern C++ standards. * Proficiency with STL, memory management, and concurrency (threads, mutexes, etc.). * Familiarity with build systems (e.g. CMake, Make). * Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE, debugging and profiling tools * Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (Subversion / Git). * Experience developing for Windows. ABOUT YOU Role Overview The Senior Electronics Engineer will take technical ownership of electronic hardware design across new and existing Thermoteknix products. The role will involve leading the design, development, verification, and support of complex electronic systems, working closely with firmware, software, mechanical, production, and project teams. This is a hands-on senior engineering role suited to someone with strong electronic design experience, sound technical judgement, and the ability to take products from concept through prototype, verification, and transfer into manufacture. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute both as an individual designer and as a technical lead within the R&D team. Key Responsibilities * Lead the design and development of electronic hardware for new and existing products. * Take ownership of electronic design activities from concept through to production release. * Design analogue, digital, power, video, embedded, and mixed-signal electronics for compact and ruggedised products. * Produce schematics, design calculations, PCB layout guidance, bills of materials, and supporting technical documentation. * Review and approve electronic designs, ensuring they meet technical, commercial, manufacturability, and reliability requirements. * Work closely with firmware and software engineers to integrate electronics with FPGA, microcontroller, sensor, display, video, and communication interfaces. * Lead prototype bring-up, board-level debugging, system integration, verification testing, and fault finding. * Support EMC, environmental, reliability, and compliance testing where required. * Contribute to technical architecture decisions for new products and product improvements. * Support design reviews, risk assessments, requirements capture, and development planning. * Mentor and support junior engineers, providing technical guidance and design review input. * Work with production and test teams to support transfer into manufacture, including test procedures, production documentation, and troubleshooting. * Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across development and production hardware. * Support component selection, obsolescence management, alternative part qualification, and supplier engagement. * Maintain high standards of design control, documentation, configuration management, and engineering best practice. ABOUT YOU We are looking to recruit an experienced Production Technician to augment our current Production Team in the electro-mechanical assembly and test of a variety of infrared thermal imaging related products. Production involves job or batch quantities and can range from cable assembly through to full system build and test. You will join a production department consisting of a Team Leader and other Production Technicians. The role will involve the manufacture and testing of mechanical, optical and electronic assemblies, component level fault finding, recording and documenting. The role would suit candidates who have initiative, pay attention to detail, want the challenge and interest of working with a variety of technologies and where a flexible approach is necessary. Required Skills & Experience You should have experience in roles that demonstrate the skills required for successful technical support: * A formal Engineering/relevant qualification * An understanding of electronic fundamentals * Troubleshooting, fault finding and debugging skills * SMT soldering (to 0201) and PCB repair skills * Wiring and cable/harness assembly experience * Computer literate * The ability to read schematic designs * Proficient in the use of standard test equipment eg Oscilloscope, DVM, signal generator * Working knowledge of PCB design software * Basic experience with Solidworks, or other mechanical design software packages * Basic understanding of analogue and digital video processing desired * Understanding of clean room techniques for opto-mechanical assembly Along with your CV please provide a supporting document answering the following pre-qualifier questions: 1.
