This role is part of the Marketing and Communications team. You’ll work closely with Marketing, the Change Facilitator, HR,
Cluster Leads, and the Management Team. You’ll be visible, hands-on, and embedded in how the company operates.
Location: Diegem, Belgium or Almere, The Netherlands
Travel: Regular between both offices, with occasional travel to overseas offices.

As our Senior Internal Communications Specialist, reporting to the Manager of Internal Communications, you'll own integrated communications programs end-to-end, from strategy through delivery. You'll hold the employee perspective and the business need in equal measure—anticipating what people need to know, crafting messages that land, and making sure the right information reaches the right audiences at the right time—always ready to spot gaps, bring ideas, and drive execution with clarity and care. What you'll do Communications Strategy & Execution * Lead the development and execution of integrated internal communications programs, driving the work from strategy through delivery * Contribute to and help shape the internal communications strategy for key business functions, building communications plans that engage the right audiences, in the right way, at the right time * Support change management communications for key organizational initiatives — helping employees navigate transitions with clarity, empathy, and confidence, and equipping managers with the information they need to support their teams * Help shape and maintain our editorial standards and content strategy, ensuring a consistent voice, tone, and quality bar across all internal communications channels * Be a champion for clear, human, and impactful communications across the company Content & Channels * Write, edit, and manage clear, engaging, and consistent employee-facing communications on behalf of a range of stakeholders—bringing the employee perspective into every message * Own our manager communications program—including our regular Manager Memo—ensuring people managers across CarGurus have the timely information, resources, and messaging they need to effectively support and communicate with their teams * Support the execution of employee-facing events, including Town Halls and other programs that foster connection, alignment, and culture across all levels, departments, and locations * Contribute to the improvement of key internal communications platforms and channels, including our communications calendar, intranet, and wiki—proactively identifying opportunities to optimize our approach Partnerships & Measurement * Partner with People & Talent functions and business leaders across the organization to connect internal messaging to company strategy, brand standards, and CarGurus' unique tone, values, and culture — spanning programs like benefits and Open Enrollment, performance and talent cycles, learning and onboarding, and community initiatives * Use data, analytics, and employee feedback to measure the effectiveness of our communications, surface insights, and continuously improve our approach * Foster two-way communication by creating opportunities for employees to share feedback and feel heard — and bringing that perspective back into everything we build What you'll bring * 5–7 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or a related field * BA in Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred * A strong writer with exceptional attention to detail—you can translate complex concepts into clear, human, and impactful communications * Proven success building and executing integrated communications programs that support business objectives, from concept to completion * Experience in digital content creation, including email newsletters, intranet content, video, blog posts, podcasts, and more * Ability to manage content across digital platforms (e.g., intranet, wiki, Slack, and similar tools) * Ability to collaborate with and advise a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior leaders and employees at all levels and global locations — with an employee-first lens throughout * Curiosity about and comfort with AI and modern communications tools — you're interested in how emerging technology can make content smarter, more personalized, and more efficient * Strong organizational skills and self-direction—able to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Experience with visual storytelling tools like Canva is a plus * A genuine passion for building a workplace where all employees can grow, thrive, and feel connected to a shared mission The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.
