Description: Hardware Mechanical Product Engineer – Automotive Compute Units The position is in a hybrid model (3 days from the office in Krakow). Position Requirements and Responsibilities Experience & Technical Expertise: 1. Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry, preferably in automotive electronic hardware design. 2. At least 5 years of experience with manufacturing technologies, including sheet metal, die casting, and plastic design. 3. Solid knowledge of design requirements to prevent EMC and ESD issues. 4. Practical understanding of heat dissipation in electronic head units. Thermal Systems knowledge with focus on Active cooling, MCIP, and alternative technologies. 5. Hands-on experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Skills & Competencies 6. Strong command of written and spoken English. 7. Excellent team orientation and collaboration skills. Responsibilities: - Analyze and interpret internal and customer requirements using tools such as Polarion and DOORS. - Lead the mechanical design of computer products, working closely with CAD designers and coordinating with other disciplines (Electrical Engineering, Validation, Material Engineering, etc.). - Manage dimensional accuracy for proper assembly and performance, including tolerance stack-up calculations and defining tolerances. -Participate in Bill of Materials (BOM) creation. POSITION SUMMARY The Electrical Simulation and Analysis Engineer is responsible for performing and documenting advanced analysis of complex electronic circuits. This role focuses on creating precise simulation models for both analog and digital components, developing automation scripts for modeling workflows, and solving complex technical hardware issues using simulation methodology. [2, 3] Beyond individual technical contributions, the successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, taking ownership of simulation tools/methods, actively participating in design reviews, and mentoring/training other engineers to elevate the organization's simulation capabilities. [4] KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SIMULATION, MODELING & ANALYSIS * Advanced Circuit Analysis: Perform and thoroughly document complex electronic circuit simulations to validate hardware designs. * Component Modeling: Create high-fidelity simulation models of complex electronic components and integrated circuits. * Scripting & Automation: Prepare and maintain automation scripts to optimize modeling, simulation workflows, and data analysis. * Technical Problem Solving: Leverage simulation tools to diagnose, root-cause, and solve complex hardware and technical anomalies. * Design Reviews: Actively participate in hardware design reviews, providing simulation-driven insights and recommendations to engineering teams. [5] GOVERNANCE, MENTORSHIP & TRAINING * Methodology Ownership: Take full responsibility for managing, updating, and documenting resources related to global simulation tools and standardized methods. * Mentorship: Support active engineering programs and mentor hardware engineers in the effective application of modeling and simulation. * Knowledge Transfer: Design, develop, and deliver technical training sessions related to internal simulation tools and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS (R = Required | P = Preferred) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electronics Engineering or a related field (R); Master of Science (MSc) (P). * Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a position directly related to the simulation of electronic circuits or a highly similar R&D role (P). * Problem-Solving: Proven track record of successfully solving complex technical problems through engineering analysis (P). * Training Experience: Demonstrated experience in training, knowledge transfer, and skills development within an engineering environment (P). TECHNICAL SKILLS * Electronics Knowledge: Very good, comprehensive knowledge of electronic components and diverse types of electronic circuits, both analog and digital (R). * Modeling Frameworks: Strong skills in electronic component modeling and circuit simulation principles using formats such as SPICE, VHDL, IBIS, and S-parameters (R). [6, 7] * Simulation Software: Practical knowledge of industry-standard simulators and analytical tools, such as: * Circuit/Analytical: LTSpice, Xpedition AMS, Mathcad, Maple * High-Speed / EM / Physics: HyperLynx, Ansys Electronics Desktop (HFSS/SIwave) [8, 9, 10] * Domain Specialization: Deep specialization in at least one specific simulation type, combined with baseline/basic skills in other types, including WCCA (Worst Case Circuit Analysis), Transients, PI (Power Integrity), SI (Signal Integrity), or EM (Electromagnetic) (R).
