At Eleiko, performance is engineered. For over 65 years, we have built the world's most trusted strength equipment, designed to withstand extreme loads, repeated use, and the highest expectations from elite athletes around the world. Eleiko is in a phase of growth, with increasing global demand and an expanding product portfolio. This drives a higher pace of development, more parallel projects, and a need to strengthen our engineering capability. You will join a hands-on Product Development team working closely with prototype workshop, testing, and production. At Eleiko, engineering is practical. Concepts are quickly turned into prototypes, tested under real conditions, and refined into production-ready solutions. We are now looking for a Product Developer who is eager to grow their mechanical engineering expertise and contribute to product development projects in a structured, hands-on, and pragmatic way. Your mission You will contribute to the development of high-performance strength equipment, working closely with senior engineers to ensure that designs are technically robust, manufacturable, and delivered according to specification. This role gives you the opportunity to build broad, practical experience across the full development process. You will take ownership of defined tasks and sub-projects, with guidance and support from senior colleagues, and your responsibility will grow as your experience and confidence increase. What you will do You will work across the product development cycle, from early concept to production release, under the guidance of senior engineers. You will help translate requirements into robust mechanical designs and develop components and systems using SolidWorks. You will contribute to ensuring that designs meet requirements related to load, fatigue, safety, and long-term durability, while learning to apply design for manufacturing and assembly principles. You will support structural simulations and validation testing and work hands-on with prototypes to verify function and performance. You will collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality to build an understanding of how solutions become cost efficient and scalable. Over time, you will take on more independent responsibility for defined parts of the development process. You will also help maintain clear and structured technical documentation throughout the development process, and are encouraged to bring forward ideas for improving how the team works. Who you are You are an engineer with a genuine interest in mechanical design and a hands-on approach to problem solving. You want to keep developing your technical skills in an environment where you can learn from experienced colleagues. You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a similar field, along with 5+ years of experience working with mechanical product development. You have good practical experience with SolidWorks and a solid understanding of materials such as steel, polymers, and coatings. You are comfortable working with load-bearing and high-durability products and are building your understanding of structural behaviour and design for manufacturing. You are used to working in environments where engineering decisions have a direct impact on production and product performance, and you are motivated to grow into taking more ownership over time. How you work You are curious, structured, and eager to learn. You enjoy working closely with senior engineers and other colleagues, taking direction and guidance as you build your own expertise and confidence. You are hands-on and comfortable validating your designs in practice, not only in CAD. You take pride in your work, contribute a positive and collaborative mindset, and continuously look for ways to improve both products and ways of working. What we offer At Eleiko, you will have the opportunity to engineer products that are used at the highest level of sport and built to last for decades. You will work in a development environment where prototyping, testing, and real-world validation are central, and where engineering is closely connected to production and end users. You will be part of a skilled and supportive team, with the opportunity to learn directly from experienced engineers. There is a clear path for growth within the team as you build your expertise, including the opportunity to take on greater project ownership over time. Location and practical information The position is based at Eleiko headquarters in Halmstad and is primarily on site. Some travel is expected, approximately two to four days per month. Engineer performance that lasts At Eleiko, we build products designed to perform and built to last. If you are motivated by solving real engineering challenges and want to grow your skills in a hands-on, collaborative environment, we would like to hear from you!
