ABOUT THE TEAM Engineering at Privy is distinguished by * High urgency—Shipping very small iterations, very fast, to learn very quickly * Product taste—Our customers are developers, and to build effective products for them requires technical knowledge—you will often be "the PM." * Security mindset—A great portion of our product is trust. While we have a dedicated security team, every engineer brings security to their designs from the start. In practice, we use boring technology like Node, React, and AWS so we can focus our engineering energy entirely on pushing the boundaries of Privy's core product, e.g. through hardware enclaves, multi-region low latency APIs, and blockchain abstractions that are accessible to mainstream developers. WHAT YOU’LL DO We're looking for an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team and be the primary technical owner for building out new capabilities with Privy's most important customers. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer and business objectives to architect, develop, and deploy software features that address customers’ needs and evolve the capabilities of Privy’s core products. Customer obsession is a core part of Privy’s culture. You’ll work closely with fellow engineers, product, and business teams to ensure Privy's customers achieve their desired outcomes and are delighted by our products. RESPONSIBILITIES  * Work directly with customers to understand their technical and operational objectives, scope requirements, and prototype and propose software solutions * Design, code, and launch features that improve and innovate on Privy’s core product using tools like TypeScript, React, and Next.js, and own end-to-end development * Drive product deployments, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting * Champion customer success, ensuring the team understands, prioritizes, and pursues customer feedback and pain points * Dive deep into customer codebases to understand product usage and friction points, and uncover opportunities for improvements * Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously align product roadmap and strategy with customer needs and objectives WHO YOU ARE We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * 5+ years of professional, hands-on full-stack development experience with languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, Go, or Java * Excel at rapid prototyping while maintaining appropriate quality standards * Superb problem-solving skills and ability to understand the product and business side of development (in other words, you see the big picture) * Experience building and owning features end-to-end * Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders * A passion for handling ambiguity and picking up new technologies, frameworks, and tools * An entrepreneurial and high ownership mindset * A desire for impact and a deep sense of urgency for your work PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Written open-source developer tooling * Published your work (code, presentations, papers, blog posts, etc.) * Experience building web3 applications

They partner closely with customers to architect our most complex integrations and build new product features that close the gap to win deals. WHAT YOU’LL DO We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead this team as it continues to grow. You’ll be responsible for helping an outstanding group of Forward Deployed Engineers do the best work of their careers while staying laser-focused on helping Privy and its customers win. This is a high-leverage role at the intersection of customers, product development, and engineering. You’ll help the team stay focused on the highest-value work, raise the bar on execution, and help turn customer signal into new products and features. As the manager of this team, you own its overall impact. Great management is a core part of how Privy wins: our managers are force multipliers, performance coaches, and culture carriers who help exceptional people do exceptional work. * Own team outcomes and business impact for Forward Deployed Engineering * Coach and develop engineers across technical depth, customer empathy, and ownership * Hold the team accountable to excellence in quality, throughput, and performance * Ensure the team is focused on the right problems and highest-leverage opportunities * Partner closely with Product, Solutions Engineering, and GTM * Stay close to the work—review PRs, help scope technical work, review design docs, and jump in on complex problems * Build a strong team culture grounded in trust, rigor, and urgency * Strengthen the feedback loop between customer signal and product roadmap Who you are * Strong ownership and a track record of driving outstanding business impact * Excellent people management skills and experience growing high-performing engineers * Strong technical judgment and the ability to evaluate architecture and tradeoffs * A customer-first mindset and comfort translating ambiguous needs into clear technical direction * High emotional maturity and strong communication * Experience managing in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment
