We are seeking a technically adept Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions, focusing on functional
design and outcome-driven product delivery within the Technology & Digital Services (TDS) portfolio. This role is critical in
enabling NextEnergy Group’s digital transformation by ensuring requirements are clearly defined, validated, and translated into
scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions.
You will work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, engineers, and data teams to capture requirements, design functional
specifications, and support delivery across multiple platforms and applications.

Your Future Role within QRT * Work with Trade Surveillance and Electronic Communications Surveillance teams to gather and document business and regulatory requirements. * Translate surveillance requirements into clear functional specifications, including alert logic, data inputs, workflows, and control expectations. * Support the analysis and improvement of surveillance processes, helping identify control gaps and efficiency opportunities. * Partner with engineering teams to ensure requirements are correctly implemented and tested. * Use structured query language and Python to analyse and validate trade, order, and communications data. * Support alert tuning, investigations, and root cause analysis of data or control issues. * Provide day-to-day support to surveillance teams on data queries and system behaviour. * Contribute to agile delivery activities, including backlog refinement and sprint planning. Your Present Skillset * Experience in technical business analysis within financial services. * Exposure to trading, market surveillance, or compliance environments. * Good structured query language skills and working knowledge of Python. * Understanding of market abuse regulations such as the Market Abuse Regulation and the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive. * Understanding of Financial Information exchange messaging and how electronic orders and executions flow between trading systems. * Familiarity with order management systems and execution management systems, and how order and trade data feeds downstream surveillance and compliance controls. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This solution is already live across multiple countries spanning Europe, APAC, the Americas, and the Middle East. Together, Maconomy and the broader Global Business Services application suite form the foundation of WPP’s global finance technology ecosystem. A key objective of the programme is to ensure that Maconomy remains on the latest supported version, with the current roadmap focused on transitioning the entire application estate from the legacy Workspace client to the modern web client by mid-2027. Within this role, you will be responsible for evaluating new product features and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value to the organisation. The role will require you to test new functionality, provide internal training to business-as-usual (BAU) support teams, and develop documentation to support effective change management and user adoption. What you'll be doing: * Manage the BAU environment associated with these tools, working with the business users, supplier teams, and 3rd party helpdesks to triage & resolve application issues * Keep key stakeholders informed of progress on issues, enhancements, releases * Deliver small projects in conjunction with the Finance Application Product Manager – e.g. changes, new functionality, rollout of existing features to new geographies * Ensure that all changes (projects, enhancements, fixes) are fully tested, including by business users * Test the internally developed changes to the software * Working with users & technical teams to triage issues with individual applications to ensure issues are pinpointed and driven to resolution.
