You will be part of one of our dynamic Body Worn teams, within our software organization. Our Body Worn software group consists of several teams, each taking ownership of specific solutions for body worn camera systems. These systems include software for cameras, control units, mobile apps (iOS and Android), and cloud services.
The development teams are small, collaborative, and empowered to take full responsibility for their areas of expertise. Your team will focus on building software for the control unit and cameras with focus on management of devices in the system. Tasks span from device-to-device communication in Linux user space, to defining and implementing API:s used by our frontend. The source code is written in Go and runs on hardware with Linux based AxisOS.
Who are you?
You are passionate about software development, with an interest in detailed implementation of features as well as the complete system. Complex end-to-end use cases, requiring high standards of quality and security, inspire you. You are experienced in software design and comfortable to take technical leadership for features. You thrive in collaborative environments, especially when working closely with your team in an agile setup.
Several years of experience in software development
Experience from scaling distributed systems
Experience of IoT devices
Worked with Go or similar language
Developed products running Linux
Knowledge in Git, Gerrit and Jenkins
Have an engineering bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field

Ditt framtida team Du kommer att jobba i ett av kundens sju mjukvaruteam inom Body Worn, som tillsammans ansvarar för hela systemlösningen, från kameror och kontrollenheter till mobilappar för iOS och Android samt molnbaserade tjänster. Deras utvecklingsteam är små, dynamiska och tar ansvar för sina egna expertområden. Ditt team fokuserar på att utveckla mjukvara för de inbyggda enheter som utgör hjärtat i Body Worn-systemet. Arbetet sker nära användarna, både genom egna utvecklingspiloter hos kunder och i nära samarbete med deras säljorganisation, vilket gör att era lösningar snabbt testas och kommer till praktisk nytta. De drivs av nyfikenhet och av att leverera hög kvalitet till marknaden, och de lyckas tillsammans. Teamet arbetar agilt med Linux-baserad mjukvara, där majoriteten av tjänsterna skrivs i Go och integreras med DBus, REST och GraphQL. Ni ansvarar för backend-delen och samarbetar tätt med kollegor som utvecklar frontend och kamerornas mjukvara. All kod hanteras i Gerrit, och integrationstester körs kontinuerligt i Jenkins. Om rollen Som Golang Software Developer blir du en central del av teamet som utvecklar Linux-baserad mjukvara för våra kroppsburna kameralösningar. Du arbetar främst i Go, men bidrar också i helheten genom att utveckla tjänster som integrerar med DBus, REST, GraphQL och gRPC. Arbetet innebär att du löser komplexa end-to-end use cases med höga krav på kvalitet, säkerhet och stabilitet – alltid i nära samarbete med kollegor från firmware, frontend och test. Exempel på uppgifter kan vara att: Utveckla nya backend-tjänster för att hantera kommunikation mellan kamera, kontrollenhet och molntjänster. Implementera och förbättra integrationer med DBus, REST och GraphQL. Arbeta med Linux-baserade system och verktyg som Yocto/OpenEmbedded för att säkerställa stabila leveranser. Delta i hela utvecklingskedjan, från design och implementation till kodgranskning, testning och driftsättning. Who is your future team? The AXIS Body Worn organization in Linköping consists of several teams working together to develop and evolve the Body Worn product portfolio. The team you would be joining is a group of 5-6 experienced developers who share a strong sense of ownership and collaboration.
