The Role… Reporting to the Junior Buyer and Product Developer, the Buying Admin Assistant will play a key supporting role in the purchasing and product development strategy for Soho Home, bringing bespoke products to the retail marketplace. As Buying Admin Assistant for Soho Home, you will support the team to optimize all key functions across the buying and product development department, to ensure each brief is executed to a high standard and hits all KPI’s. Main Duties… * Provide administrative support to the Buying & Product Development department * Manage all administrative tasks along the critical path and product lifecycle * Maintain an awareness of the development critical path, supporting the team to ensure key calendar milestone are always met * Ensure key product information across all internal platforms is up to date and accurate * Update and maintain the seasonal development tracker, ensuring all key data throughout development is input * Support in the department trade preparation * Assist in compiling competitive analysis reports and other preparations required for seasonal sign-off meetings * Assist in all preparations required for prototype and finalisation meetings – Presentation boards, range management documents, and physical set up of the showroom space. Oversee all logistical elements to ensure samples are on time and in place for key meetings. * Take responsibility of all sample requests and shipments in line with department demands, liaising with suppliers as required * Manage samples across all sites (office, warehouse, showroom). Ensuring all samples are readily available and accessible * Ensure approved samples are passed to the Creative team in a timely manner for photography * Create sample SKUs and labels for all development and photography samples as required * Via the supply base, request and record all Product Specification Sheets, accurately copying the data to all internal platforms * Proactively manage customer service queries to drive the best resolution * Coordinate and manage sample sales with the wider Buying and Product Development team as and when required What We Are Looking For.. * An excellent communicator both written and verbally, with strong interpersonal skills * Naturally collaborative * A creative problem-solver, innately curious with the confidence to challenge current practices and prompt positive change * Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy * Results-orientated * Upholds a mature and professional demeanour at all times * Enjoys working in a changing environment, able to demonstrate agility when responding to industry trends and evolving demands as Soho Home expands into new markets * Excellent time management skills * Ability to keep calm under pressure, always retaining a friendly and positive can-do attitude * Some product development and commercial buying experience preferred but not essential Benefits… Soho House offers competitive compensation packages that feature global benefits and perks. YOUR TASKS You... * work with your own equipment (camera, laptop etc. incl. lens for surf photography), water housing for in-water photography desirable * already have professional experience with surf and water photography * speak fluent English * can stay for at least 5 months * can be employed on a freelance basis * are familiar with surf videography and able to provide good results for our weekly video analysis * are very well structured and organised to manage your content and surf packages for each guest * work independently and with good time management to deliver on time * are creative, developing your own ideas which you can implement independently to create content for our social media platforms * have a high level of stress tolerance and can deal with problems and hectic situations calmly, objectively and professionally * can demonstrate that you have strong social skills and that being with other people energises you rather than draining your energy * are a team player, punctual and support the team in the smooth running of the camp * are aware that socialising is a big part of the surf spirit philosophy and enjoy spending most of your time on the retreat (including meals) * have an (international) class B driving licence (Sri Lanka) * are familiar with the traffic in Sri Lanka (or comparable countries) and have no problem driving a scooter there (Sri Lanka) YOUR PROFILE Being the photographer at Surf Spirit, you will be responsible for creating content for our marketing department, shooting videos of all guests for the surf coaching video analyses and creating photo packages for each guest to purchase at the end of the week. You will also take care of our Instagram Stories 1-2 days a week with creative and high quality content. You will be in regular contact with our Social Media Manager. It is therefore very important that you deliver the agreed content reliably and on time in order to contribute to a relaxed workflow on site and in our German office. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Brand Strategists, and Copywriters to conceptualize, plan, and execute studio and location photo and video shoots for our visual library * Master and capture a distinct multi-tiered visual ecosystem in order to capture the core theme of our hero moments.  * Possess the skills and vision required to execute crisp product shots, dynamic full-body on-the-move tracking shots, dramatic low-angle power posture shots for every model bracket, and trust-building product shots that ground our members' financial journeys. * Concept and capture high-leverage, surreal visual metaphors that vividly externalize the psychological triumph of getting your money right. * Approach lighting, plate photography, composition, and subjects with an "AI-first" mindset, capturing assets specifically optimized for downstream AI manipulation and generation. * Partner with our post-production, motion and vfx teams to guide raw imagery through CG and AI tools to deliver seamless "SoFi" assets. * Operate advanced DSLR, mirrorless camera technology, and mid-level cinema and studio lighting setups. * Retouch photos and video with traditional retouching tools as well as AI tools like Runway and Adobe custom models. * Champion the SoFi brand narrative, ensuring all imagery evokes the emotion, forward-thinking energy, and financial confidence of our community. WHAT YOU’LL NEED * A minimum of 4+ years working as a commercial photographer at an ad agency, in-house creative department, or freelancing for major consumer brands. * A strong, well-rounded portfolio and reel showcasing beautiful, functional work that demonstrates an elite grasp of color, composition, typography, and lighting * Comfortable shooting both in studio or on location * A deep, active curiosity about AI and an eager interest in the application of Generative AI software within creative workflows. * Technical knowledge of using gen AI models (e.g., Runway, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly) for adding effects like textures and lighting to photographic plates * Technical knowledge of motion capture and understanding of compositing imagery and video for video clips (shooting video clips to be  used in for this purpose) * Technical understanding of file size and type requirements for delivery to multiple platforms * Self-motivated and able to work independently on set while also supporting the larger creative studio team * Experience working in a hybrid remote/office capacity as required by production schedules. * Soft Skills: * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project timelines. * A collaborative spirit and the ability to remain "ego-less" when receiving creative feedback. * Clear communication skills to articulate editorial choices to non-technical stakeholders.
