YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON * Build and maintain test plans for new product development and sustaining engineering activities, including sample size estimation and reliability goal * Perform product validation and verification with off-the-shelf testing equipment as well as custom built machinery. Lead the execution to keep the schedule on track * Manage ODM/OEM partners’ lab and third party lab to complete test task with their own test resource * Lead test development projects.Design, build, and automate custom test rigs/fixtures to interact with various pieces of exercise equipment * Deliver Validation status and results regularly to facilitate tracking the progress with cross functional team * Summarize Validation result with field failure rate estimation to help crossfunctional team understand the margin impact * Correspond with NY and Seattle based team with test reports and status updates, which will require morning/evening calls * Provide technical support to technicians for various testing activities * Actively perform preliminary root cause/failure analysis to collaborate with & drive cross functional team to resolution * Utilize statistical tools to compile the result into impact to real world application * Work multi-functionally with other departments and prioritize work queues through scoping the request and capturing business impact * Standardize test documentation, including fixtures, test procedures, schematics and software program. Supervise and implement test processes and data flow * Ensure safety protocols are followed & maintain lab equipment and inventory YOU BRING TO PELOTON * 3- 5+ years relevant work experience of systematic product testing * Education and/or equivalent work experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering - M.S. preferred * Excellent communication skills, including Chinese, and English (Taiwanese preferred) * 3D Modeling (Solidworks). ABOUT THE ROLE Peloton Mechanical Engineers are responsible for the architecture, design, and testing of hardware systems for Peloton products. This early-career position requires working collaboratively with engineers and engineering managers to support product improvement and development initiatives across the entire product lifecycle, from new product introduction through sustaining engineering. As the team is highly dynamic with an exciting product roadmap, you will play a key role in ensuring mechanical design robustness, manufacturability, time to market, and cost goals are all met. You will work multi-functional with many teams including Program Management, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Electrical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Industrial Design. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON * Collaborate with engineers to take on sustaining initiatives to help drive quality, reliability and margin improvements * Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for components and assemblies * Perform engineering analysis on designs including functional review, tolerance stack analysis, and manufacturability * Write and execute test plans starting from early concept and document/communicate results to the cross-functional team * Collaborate with adjacent development teams to ensure design success including concept testing, quality, industrial design, product management, and operations * Work directly with suppliers on-site to review parts and resolve manufacturing issues YOU BRING TO PELOTON * 2+ years mechanical design experience * B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience * Sound engineering fundamentals in statics, dynamics, stress analysis, and material science * Experience with core manufacturing methods including sheet metal, injection molding, weldments, machining, and casting * Proficient in one 3D MCAD Package.
