Senior Quality Engineer – Mechanical Components
Är du en erfaren ingenjör med bakgrund inom kvalitetsarbete och mekaniska komponenter? Nu söker vi för kunds räkning en Senior Quality Engineer till ett långsiktigt och tekniskt avancerat uppdrag inom tillverkningsindustrin.
Du blir en del av ett engagerat team som arbetar med projektkvalitet, leverantörsgranskningar och kvalitetsuppföljning i en verksamhet med höga krav på säkerhet, struktur och precision.
Som Senior Quality Engineer kommer du att arbeta med kvalitetssäkring och kontroll av mekaniska komponenter och utrustning. Rollen innebär nära samarbete med både interna projektteam och externa leverantörer för att säkerställa att kvalitetskrav och kundförväntningar uppfylls.
Utföra kvalitetsinspektioner och observationer av tillverkningsprocesser, mekaniska komponenter och svetsade konstruktioner
Granska kontrollplaner, slutdokumentation och avvikelser ur ett kvalitetsperspektiv
Säkerställa teknisk dokumentation och kvalitetskrav i beställningar och projekt
Utfärda certifikat och kvalitetsrelaterad dokumentation
Delta i leverantörsrevisioner och interna processrevisioner
Bidra till utveckling och förbättring av kvalitetsarbetet i projekt
Stötta projektteam och sprida kvalitetsmedvetenhet i organisationen
Tjänsten är placerad i Västerås med möjlighet till hybridarbete 1–2 dagar i veckan. Resor till leverantörer och kunder förekommer, cirka 40 dagar per år.
Vi söker dig som
Vi tror att du är en noggrann och erfaren person som trivs i en roll där kvalitet, struktur och samarbete står i fokus. Du är kommunikativ, lösningsorienterad och van att arbeta i tekniska miljöer med höga krav.
Högskole- eller civilingenjörsutbildning inom exempelvis mekanik, materialteknik, kvalitet eller motsvarande
Minst 10 års erfarenhet av kvalitetsarbete inom tillverkningsindustrin
Erfarenhet av kvalitetssäkring, kvalitetskontroll och standardtolkning
Mycket goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift
Erfarenhet från kärnkraftsindustrin
Erfarenhet av standarder såsom ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, ASME III eller liknande
Certifiering inom NDT eller svetsledning
Kunskap inom CE-märkning, trycksatta system och lyftutrustning

The Senior Cell Design Engineer will play a project leading role in the cell development of the Li-ion and LIS battery, specifically, in the Mechanical Design area. Key Responsibilities Overall areas of responsibilities and activities • Lead mechanical design and development Li-ion and LIS battery and related components for Energy Storage Systems (ESS), Electric Vehicles (EV), and other advanced applications • Take ownership of mechanical part design, evaluation, validation, and optimization using advanced CAD tools (NX, CATIA, or equivalent) • Act as the primary technical interface with customers, leading technical discussions and clarifying design requirements • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Process Engineering, R&D Labs, Manufacturing, Quality, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution • Identify technical risks related to cell/battery development and production and drive mitigation strategies • Review and approve mechanical drawings, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and technical documentation • Support prototype development, design verification, and validation activities • Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards, processes, and engineering best practices Requirements Educational background and previous experience required for the role Qualifications and Experience • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) • 8+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in power electronics, high-performance lithium-ion batteries, or related industries • Strong experience in lithium-ion battery cell development and secondary battery technologies is highly preferred • Proven hands-on experience in mechanical component design, evaluation, and validation • Extensive experience with advanced CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, or equivalent 3D modeling software • Experience with electrode and cell design, electrode preparation processes, cell fabrication, and electrochemical performance evaluation is strongly preferred • Strong understanding of risk management in cell/battery development and production environments • Demonstrated experience leading technical discussions directly with customers • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Specific skills • Advanced proficiency in CAD tools (NX, CATIA, or similar) for mechanical part design and evaluation • Strong technical documentation and drawing review capability • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight project deadlines • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Proactive cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

As a Senior Test & Validation Engineer you will plan, organize, execute, and follow up on project-related testing and provide leadership and oversight to the team. Lead performing and developing tests together with the team which concerns the battery’s performance, reliability, and safety. Own responsibility of test facility related to its operation, installation and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) Develop and lead product testing procedures based on the customer requirements of development projects and Quality Control (QC) standards. The Principal Engineer leads complex, high-impact initiatives from concept through industrialization, including process design, equipment strategy, and factory integration. Acting as a key interface between R&D, operations, quality, and external partners, the role ensures robust, scalable, and cost-efficient manufacturing solutions that support production ramp-up and long-term operational excellence. In addition to hands-on technical contribution, the Principal Engineer establishes engineering standards, drives cross-site alignment, and shapes the technology roadmap for manufacturing processes.
