YOUR MISSION At AVIAN, our mission is clear: we stop fires before they start. Our infrared camera systems and AI-driven monitoring help industrial companies detect abnormal heat early, prevent fire risk, protect assets, and avoid costly downtime. We have reached product-market fit. We have the product, the proof, and strong customer demand. Now we need the marketing engine. As Marketing Lead, your mission is to build an AI-forward marketing function that helps AVIAN scale to $10M+ ARR. This is not a traditional marketing role. We are not trying to hire a large team or manage a network of agencies. We want one exceptional operator using AI agents, automation, and sharp positioning to do the work of a small team. You will own the 1-to-many growth engine: brand authority, demand generation, content, website conversion, lifecycle marketing, event amplification, and AI-driven outbound support. You will: * Build AVIAN’s AI-forward marketing operating model from the ground up. * Own LinkedIn, founder-brand content, and high-signal thought leadership for industrial fire prevention, insurance, and manufacturing. * Use AI workflows to create programmatic content at scale across customer stories, vertical pages, SEO/AIO pages, outbound assets, and sales enablement. * Build AI-driven outbound research and enrichment workflows for priority accounts, sectors, and buying committees. * Design lifecycle automation beyond standard nurture, including lead scoring, reactivation, segmentation, trigger-based campaigns, and sales handoff. * Improve AVIAN’s website conversion, landing pages, SEO, and AI-search visibility. * Turn trade fairs into pipeline through pre-event targeting, content, booking flows, on-site support, and post-event follow-up. * Build and manage lean growth experiments across paid, organic, email, content, and partner channels. * Work closely with sales to convert marketing activity into qualified pipeline and revenue. * Track what works, cut what does not, and build repeatable systems. This is a hands-on IC role. You will write, build, automate, launch, analyze, and improve. YOUR PROFILE You are a mid-to-senior marketing operator who ships. You know how to build when there is no playbook, and you have already used AI to replace manual marketing work in production. Must-haves: * Experience as a #1 or #2 marketing hire at a B2B startup, ideally in deep-tech, industrial SaaS, hardware-enabled SaaS, IoT, insurance-tech, or a related category. * Proven track record building pipeline in a startup or scale-up environment. * Evidence of agentic AI workflows in production, not just prompting or experimentation. * Ability to demo AI workflows you have shipped, such as outbound research agents, enrichment pipelines, programmatic content systems, lifecycle automation, custom GPTs, Claude projects, Clay workflows, Lindy agents, n8n automations, or similar. * Public evidence of an AI-native marketing point of view, such as writing, side projects, GitHub, Loom walkthroughs, shipped tools, or documented workflows. * Strong content ability across positioning, landing pages, LinkedIn, founder voice, email, and sales enablement. * Strong demand-generation instincts across inbound, outbound support, events, lifecycle, and conversion. * Hands-on experience with HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation systems. * Ability to operate without a large team, agency layer, or perfect process. * Strong analytical discipline and clear ROI thinking. * High ownership, direct communication, and bias for action. * Fluent English. Nice-to-haves: * Experience marketing to manufacturers, plant managers, safety teams, maintenance leaders, insurers, brokers, or industrial operators. * Experience in industrial IoT, fire prevention, predictive maintenance, machine vision, automation, safety tech, or hardware-enabled SaaS. * Experience with SEO, AIO, programmatic landing pages, paid search, paid social, and conversion optimization. * Experience planning and executing trade fair marketing. * German language skills. * Based in Zurich, Europe, or a major US industrial hub. WHY US? AVIAN is building a new category in industrial fire prevention. Our product protects real facilities, real assets, and real people. The impact is immediate, measurable, and operationally critical. You will join at the right stage: product-market fit is proven, customer demand is real, and the commercial organization is ready to scale. This is the opportunity to build a modern marketing function from scratch, with AI at the center rather than bolted on afterward. What we offer: * Direct reporting line to the CEO. * Full ownership of AVIAN’s marketing engine. * Opportunity to build an AI-forward function that replaces the work of a small team. * Clear mandate to create pipeline, brand authority, and repeatable growth systems. * Competitive compensation. * Performance-based variable compensation tied to pipeline and ARR milestones. * Equity participation. * Budget authority for tools, experiments, events, and selective external support. * Flexible, high-trust working model. * International team with a clear mission and strong customer focus. * Opportunity to help scale AVIAN to $10M+ ARR and beyond. The AVIAN Way: * Clarity, ownership, speed. Everyone owns outcomes end-to-end. * Fail fast, fix faster. We learn quickly and improve continuously. * Radical transparency. Shared knowledge, open decisions, constant feedback. * Global and focused. International team, customer-obsessed, real-world impact. AVIAN is an equal-opportunity employer. We welcome applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request.
