About the research project   Project: Practice-based school research in mathematics education Since 2017, Chalmers has been a part of the national initiative on practice-based school research within the framework of ULF (Education, Learning & Research, ulfavtal.se). The purpose of the initiative is to strengthen the long-term development of the Swedish school system and the teacher and preschool teacher education programs through deepened collaboration around practice-based research. Researchers in mathematics education at the Department of Mathematical Sciences have participated in several research projects that, among other things, have investigated the effects of test-based learning, the use of vertical surfaces, and student-generated clues for solving problems. The projects have been initiated and implemented in close collaboration with teachers at the training schools affiliated with Chalmers' teacher education program, Learning and Leadership. The overarching goal of the project is to further deepen the collaboration around practice-based school research together with our training schools. To make this possible, a postdoctoral position is planned with the assignment to, in close dialogue with principals and teachers, identify challenges within mathematics teaching, formulate research questions based on these, and carry out the research projects together with the school's teachers. WORK TASKS The Department of Bioinformatics and Genetics at the Swedish Museum of Natural History is offering a two-year Postdoc position focused on Floral Traits, Machine Learning and Macro-evolution.  This project aims to investigate the evolution of flower size on oceanic islands by combining phylogenetic comparative methods with machine learning-based extraction of trait data from digitised botanical floras. The successful candidate will develop computational workflows to generate large-scale, standardised datasets of floral traits and use these to test hypotheses about the predictability and drivers of flower-size evolution in island systems.  As a postdoc in this project, you will work with developing methods in ML, integrate macro-phylogenetic tools to understand floral trait evolution on islands.  The preferred start date is 01-10-2026. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: • completed a PhD in plant systematics or a related field • Demonstrated expertise in phylogenetic comparative methods and macroevolutionary analyses.  • Strong programming skills in R and experience analysing large, complex biological datasets. • Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written. FINANCIAL CONTROLLER – CENTRAL EUROPE * Preffered Location: Turkey (open across Europe) * Role: Hybrid or fully remote working according to location * Travel: Limited travel required, typically 2–4 trips per year * Reporting to: Regional Finance Leader - Central Europe * Salary: PURPOSE As Financial Controller for the Central Europe Region, you will play a key role in supporting financial performance, forecasting, reporting, governance and business planning across multiple countries. Working within a highly collaborative regional finance team, you will help provide meaningful financial insights, strengthen decision-making, improve processes and ensure consistent financial visibility across the region. The role offers broad exposure to country, regional, divisional and group-level finance activities while partnering with stakeholders across multiple markets. Major Responsibilities Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysis * Lead the regional forecasting cycle, partnering with country finance teams to analyse results, identify trends and understand variances. * Deliver financial and operational analysis that supports informed business decisions. * Support budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring across the region. * Develop financial models and reporting tools that improve visibility and understanding of business performance. Reporting & Business Insights * Produce regular and ad-hoc management reports, presentations and analysis for regional, divisional and global stakeholders. * Translate financial data into meaningful insights that support business performance and strategic priorities. * Monitor key financial metrics, including receivables, working capital indicators, bad debt risk and operational performance measures Financial Control * Partner with country finance teams to strengthen financial controls and reporting processes. * Support compliance with group reporting standards and financial policies. * Contribute to monthly controlling reviews, balance sheet analysis and performance discussions across the region. Process Improvement & Transformation * Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and reporting quality across regional and country finance processes. * Support the adoption of new systems, tools and ways of working. * Share best practices across countries to help strengthen financial capability and operational performance. * Contribute to automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance * Build strong partnerships with country finance teams, regional leadership, corporate functions and divisional stakeholders. * Coordinate information flow across multiple countries and support cross-functional decision making. * Act as a trusted finance partner, helping stakeholders navigate financial performance, planning and reporting requirements. * Support Region’s overall planning, governance and administrative activities, approval workflows and regional business review processes. What will you do here as a Design for Production Engineer? As a Design for Production Engineer, you will ensure that our latest innovations are suitable for high volume production by playing a key role in the development of both assembly-friendly products and efficient production processes. Producing quality security products that our customers can depend on ensures that Axis continues to fulfill our promises of safer and smarter communities across the globe. Our work is largely project based. Each product follows a five-phase development process that typically runs from one to two years. Within each project, you will: Initiate workshops and discussions centered around `design for assembly` Define the product's assembly process and production process with one of our manufacturing partners (located in North America, Asia, or Europe) Set design requirements for complex assembly and test fixtures.
