If you want to make an impact and grow with a team that inspires millions, you’ll fit right in. The role: As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will act as a technical leader in safeguarding our core cloud infrastructure. You will take ownership of maintaining the highest standards of security controls for our critical systems within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We're looking for someone who thrives in complex environments, can solve infrastructure security problems where no established patterns exist, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. You won't just advise; you will actively build, configure, and fix security controls. You'll leverage your expert understanding of cloud services, infrastructure-as-code, and container security to architect robust security measures and drive systemic improvements across the organization. What you’ll do: * Architect and Lead GCP Security: Take end-to-end ownership of designing and implementing security architectures for our GCP infrastructure. You will look beyond immediate fixes to architect long-term, scalable solutions for networking, compute, storage, and GKE. * Hands-on Remediation & Engineering: You don't just identify risks; you fix them. You will actively write code, create Pull Requests, and apply configurations to resolve security issues, harden infrastructure, and deploy tooling (e.g., EDR, Identity proxies) in production environments. * Drive Systemic Risk Reduction: Identify repeating classes of vulnerabilities or systemic risks (e.g., data exfiltration paths) and drive organizational change to eliminate them, rather than just patching individual issues. * Manage GCP Security Posture: Utilize GCP-native tools (e.g., Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, VPC Service Controls, IAM) to continuously monitor, assess, and improve the security posture of our cloud environment. * Advanced Network & Container Security: Design complex network security controls and Kubernetes (GKE) hardening strategies, balancing strict security requirements with operational velocity. * Mentorship and Technical Sparring: Act as a technical mentor and sparring partner to other engineers. You will elevate engineering standards by guiding colleagues on advanced security concepts and architecture. * Automate Security Operations: Develop advanced automation (using Python, Go, No/Low Code) to eliminate toil, turning manual security reviews into automated policy-as-code checks and high-fidelity alerts. What you bring in: * Technical Experience: Several years of hands-on experience in a senior security engineering role. You have a track record of leading technical designs and influencing decisions across multiple squads. * Security Passion & Threat Awareness: You are passionate about security and stay constantly updated on the evolving threat landscape, emerging vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, translating this knowledge into proactive defense strategies. * Navigating Ambiguity: You excel at breaking down complex, multi-faceted technical problems into actionable components. You are comfortable defining security standards for experimental technologies where internal patterns may not yet exist. * Project Ownership & Grit: Demonstrated ability to drive mid-to-large scale projects from idea to implementation independently, including successful stakeholder alignment and management of external dependencies. * Operational "Doer" Mindset: You are a practitioner who enjoys the craft of engineering. You have recent, deep experience directly configuring infrastructure, writing production-grade code, and debugging complex systems. Once an issue has been identified you have the experience applying the fix either yourself or through collaboration with stakeholders. * Business-Aligned Risk Assessment: Experience weighing risk vs. speed, and making technical decisions that balance short-term delivery with long-term maintainability and business value. * Deep GCP Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of securing cloud infrastructure, with the ability to architect tool-agnostic solutions and evaluate trade-offs in GCP services (GCE, GKE, VPC, IAM, SCC). * Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders, clearly articulating business impact (e.g., financial loss, brand reputation) to secure buy-in. What we offer: We support growth through learning resources, leadership programs, mentoring, and real hands-on work. People can move between teams and projects to build new skills and keep things interesting. We offer clear internal mobility and a transparent path for progression, with leaders who stay involved and provide guidance throughout the year. In addition, you will benefit from: * A comprehensive compensation package: We offer a competitive salary, 30 days of paid vacation, private health insurance, parental leave top-up, pension, and wellness contributions. * Modern tools to do your best work: Choose your preferred computer and phone within our budget, so you can work comfortably and efficiently. * A people-focused office culture: We value in-person collaboration and follow an office-first model, with some flexibility. Our offices offer a vibrant environment with opportunities to learn, connect, and recharge, from breakfast, lunch, and well-stocked snack stations and quiet spaces to team activities such as movie nights, tech meetups, and cultural events. There's something for everyone. * Truecaller’s “Lab Days” offer a space for imagination: 5 times per year for 3 days, where everyone steps away from their normal tasks to explore new, bold ideas and build things they’ve always wanted to. It’s a space where curiosity leads the way, and prototypes take shape. Some concepts even make it into production, and a few have grown into real features used by millions today. Lab Days allow you to be creative, learn fast, and help shape Truecaller's future. Come as you are: Truecaller is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We believe that a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences strengthens our products and our culture. SAFETY, REGULATORY & DOCUMENTATION * Act as the final authority on safety for each sortie, conducting risk assessments and responding to anomalies or emergency situations. * Maintain airspace deconfliction in accordance with SORA and EASA regulatory requirements. * Participate in briefings/debriefings, providing structured, technical feedback on aircraft behavior. * Support licensing and documentation to build long-term test capabilities across Germany and Europe. QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS * Valid EU A1/A3 Remote Pilot Certificates (EASA). * Valid radio operator certificate (e.g., BZF) or the ability to obtain one immediately. * Demonstrable manual piloting skills of high-performance fixed-wing and multirotor UAVs (precision take-offs, landings, and maneuvering in tight spots). * Experience with professional GCS software, mission planning tools, and telemetry monitoring. * Must be a citizen of a NATO member state (due to export control and security regulations). TECHNICAL MINDSET * Familiarity with test operations under BVLOS and experimental conditions. * Skilled in maintaining situational awareness during long, complex multi-aircraft operations. * A problem-solving mindset. You don’t just report a bug; you help the engineers find the "why." * Excellent written and verbal communication in English. MINDSET & STYLE * Disciplined: You follow test cards to the letter but stay agile when a plan changes at the last minute. * Reliable: High attention to detail with a "safety-first" internal compass. * Startup Ready: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where your role evolves as the company grows. Ready to combine a security-first mindset with strong technical understanding to shape the future of digital banking? As Head of Information Security at Nordiska, you will lead the security strategy, guide architecture decisions and ensure secure delivery across our organization - where banking meets tech. About Nordiska Nordiska is a bank that provides innovative financial products for both companies and consumers. Nordiska Embedded is a platform for embedded financial services, where we offer savings, lending, and payment services, either under our own brand or through partners. Nordiska also provides corporate and real estate financing, as well as sustainable savings with a government-backed deposit guarantee. What we offer Our code of conduct is the foundation for everything we do. We act with honesty and responsibility to build long-term trust among customers, partners, and employees. We believe that diversity drives innovation and encourages each employee to contribute their unique expertise and perspective. We are driven and dedicated to making a difference. Our employees receive a competitive benefits package. About the Role As we continue scaling with embedded finance partners on a European level, we’re looking for a Head of Information Security to take end-to-end ownership of information security and cybersecurity. At Nordiska, security is more than compliance; it’s a core enabler of growth and trust. As our embedded platform capabilities expand, so do partner expectations and the need for clear security ownership, strong execution and pragmatic risk management. In this role, you will own Nordiska’s security posture and drive initiatives that strengthen resilience, governance, and operational security. You will ensure compliance with evolving requirements and frameworks, while embedding security into product development and day-to-day operations in close collaboration with Risk, Tech and Legal. This is a hands-on, operational leader role with accountability for both strategy and implementation. You will also serve as Nordiska’s primary security representative in external engagements - working with regulators, auditors, and partners - leading compliance efforts and ensuring Nordiska not only meets, but consistently raises the bar on security, governance and risk management. What You’ll Do As Head of Information Security some of your key responsibilities are: Lead Nordiska’s information security and cybersecurity work end-to-end, aligned with business priorities, partner expectations and regulatory requirements. Lead and maintain the ICT security framework, including governance, implementation, and cross-functional coordination, while leading third-party security risk management through due diligence, contractual requirements, and ongoing monitoring of vendors and service providers. Measure, report, and continuously strengthen Nordiska’s security posture through risk-based prioritization, clear metrics, and structured remediation, while owning incident management and regulatory reporting with well-defined procedures, timely escalation, and compliant communication with relevant authorities. Establish and maintain security governance and controls, embedding regulatory and industry requirements into policies, processes and steering documentation. Lead security assurance and stakeholder management, including ISO work, internal/external/regulatory audits and assessments and advising management and the Board on risks and mitigations. We’re Looking for Someone who has 7+ years of experience in information security/cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in leading roles in technology or infrastructure-intensive environments. Extensive experience in information security, cyber risk management and regulatory oversight, ideally within fintech, banking, or other highly regulated environments. A strong understanding of modern cybersecurity principles and technical security concepts. Hands-on experience driving audits, assessments and security programs, including regulatory reviews, risk assessments and remediation follow-up. Solid knowledge of key regulatory frameworks and standards such as DORA, ISO 27001, and GDPR, and how to translate requirements into practical controls. Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences. Experience from a tech-driven organization (preferred), where security enables delivery, scale and partner trust. Your Professional Profile Proactive and accountable - you take ownership beyond “tech security” and ensure security and compliance are embedded across the business. Structured and execution-oriented - you thrive in building, running and continuously improving compliance processes, not just overseeing them at a distance. Independent and self-sufficient - you can drive progress without formal line management, leading through influence in cross-functional initiatives. Collaborative and influential – you create alignment across departments and communicate risks, trade-offs, and priorities effectively across all levels of the organization. Application & Process If you’re looking to join a growth-driven environment that pairs innovation with profitability and reliability, welcome to Nordiska. We look forward to receiving your application. We review and interview continuously, with background checks as part of the final stage of our process. For questions about the role and or more information, you are warmly welcome to contact Ida Garamvölgyi, ida.garamvolgyi@nordiska.com or +46704 385 325.
