ABOUT US We are a fast-growing AI startup that builds tools to help society withstand and adapt to security threats, natural disasters, extreme weather, and other risks. Our platform enables simulation, scenario planning, incident management, and early warning, and is used in environments where availability, robustness, and security are critical. We're still building the foundations of our People and Culture function. This is an exciting opportunity to build it from the ground up and shape how we hire, develop, and support our people as the company grows. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a unique opportunity to own and shape our People function from day one. For the foreseeable future, you will lead the function end to end, with full ownership across all areas. From recruitment and onboarding to policies, compensation, systems, and culture, you'll create the foundations that enable us to scale without losing what makes us a great place to work. You will move between hands-on daily execution and longer-term, strategic decisions, often in the same day. You will report directly to the COO and act as the go-to people partner for every manager and employee in the company. We see HR as an enabler, not a gatekeeper. You'll work in close partnership with managers, taking the time to understand the business and our culture, and introducing ways of working that make life easier – not more complex. WHAT YOU WILL DO Build the foundation * Set up the HR systems, tooling and payroll we'll need as we grow, ensuring employee data is handled correctly and in line with GDPR. Hire and Onboard the team * Own recruitment end to end, with talent acquisition as a key focus, and partner with managers on workforce planning and employer branding in a competitive AI market. Support managers and employees * Handle employee relations and ensure compliance with Swedish employment law (LAS), collective agreements and any related negotiations (e.g. MBL) where applicable. * Own work-environment responsibility (arbetsmiljö), including preventive work and rehabilitation processes. Grow and reward our people * Build compensation and benefits structures, including salary benchmarking and, where relevant, our options/equity programme. * Support performance management, employee development and engagement initiatives. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR This role is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and is comfortable things are still taking shape. You're excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up and prefer creating new ways of working over maintaining established processes. You listen first, take the time to understand the business, and introduce processes where they create real value. We are looking for someone with: * Several years of broad, hands-on HR / people generalist experience, ideally including a standalone or sole-HR role. * Experience in a startup or fast-scaling company. * Good knowledge of Swedish employment law and core HR practices. * Strong recruitment experience and a genuine interest in talent acquisition. * The ability to prioritise across a broad range of responsibilities and work independently with a high degree of ownership. * A pragmatic, hands-on approach, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. * Fluent in Swedish and English PRACTICALITIES * Location: this is an on-site role at our office, we believe being together in person is part of what makes the culture and the build phase work, especially at this stage of our growth. * Application deadline: 16 July. We review applications on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive compensation and long-term upside in a company with strong growth and a clear public-benefit purpose. * A flexible work environment with a broad mandate to make an impact, where you'll have the opportunity to build and develop the security function in close collaboration with management, product, and engineering. IMPORTANT INFORMATION * For final candidates, we conduct an in-depth background check through an external provider. The role is subject to security clearance. WHY JOIN US You will shape the people function of an AI company at the most formative point in its growth — the systems, the culture and the team you build will define how our next employees experience the company. You will have unusual ownership and visibility, work closely with leadership, and see the direct impact of your work every day. If you want a role where what you build genuinely matters, this is it. Sound like you? We would love to hear from you!

For the full version of the advertisement, see Optimized and sustainable rehabilitation planning of urban water pipe and street networks Are you ready to take the next step in your academic journey? As a doctoral student with us, you will work closely with leading researchers in a strong, international research environment, with access to advanced laboratory equipment and solid funding opportunities. You will be offered secure employment, high-quality supervision, and room to grow, both as a researcher and as a person. The Urban Water Engineering research group seeks a driven and committed PhD student with a focus on how urban water pipes and streets could be renovated and renewed together (or not), to achieve a sustainable management of the municipal infrastructure. Take the opportunity to join one of the leading urban water research groups in the world with an international, creative and dynamic environment and close cooperation with the industry and universities worldwide. The Urban Water Engineering research group has a strong position in research and education on urban water systems, stormwater, small-scale wastewater and sewage systems. The group consists of about 50 members including senior researchers, Swedish and international adjunct professors and more than 20 doctoral students. The group has an extensive national and international collaboration network. Subject description Urban Water Engineering encompasses the entire urban water system (urban drainage, drinking water supply and wastewater) with respect to collection, transport and treatment, as well as organisation and planning. The research aims to encourage a strong economy, clean environment and the wise use of resources, while preserving the public’s health and safety. Project description The project Streetwise aims to improve coordination between street works and water/wastewater pipe network renewal in Swedish municipalities. Today, these investments are often planned and financed separately or coordinated based on limited data leading to repeated excavation, higher lifecycle costs, and unnecessary disruption for citizens. Skellefteå municipality is the needs owner and participates through the departments of Water & Wastewater and the Streets, providing a real test bed. Recent research will be the starting point where an existing model will be developed further to optimise the strategic asset management and coordination based on economic, environmental and other societal criteria. You will belong to a research team with researchers from our university as well as external researchers from the research institute RISE which are experts in policy-lab methodology. The work within the project includes development of an existing Python model and collection of asset management data of municipal infrastructure. Together with other researchers in the team, you will design workshops to be carried out with municipal partners to understand the present routines of coordinating asset management of multiutility infrastructures and be able to develop tools to support their work. Duties As a PhD student, you will collect asset management data, develop a Python model and be involved in workshops. You will learn how to collect and analyse scientific data within your research area as well as communicate your results at national and international conferences and in scientific journals. Most of your working time will be devoted to your own research studies, including both research and mandatory and elective course work. In addition, you will also carry out departmental duties, such as teaching and/or assisting in other research projects. You will have two supervisors who support you in your work, as well as cooperate with other researchers in the project team. The research work for this project will specifically include modelling, including life cycle assessment studies and life cycle costs, as well as being part of policy development for the water sector. Qualifications We seek a candidate with an MSc degree or equivalent or fully completed course requirements of at least 240 ETCS of which at least 60 ETCS are at an advanced level or equivalent. The degree should be within the field of civil and/or environmental engineering or natural resources engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent. Specific knowledge of urban water system including the pipe network, Python coding and modelling and life cycle assessments, as well as economics and statistics are meritorious. Other important skills are the ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as being able to explore new research areas. English language skills are required since the results will be presented internationally in scientific journals and at conferences. Swedish/Scandinavian language skills are beneficial, as they will facilitate communication with stakeholders and participation in research and teaching activities. Having a driver’s license is meritorious, as it will facilitate research work. Applicants should provide contact details to minimum two reference persons upon request. Auctionet is a marketplace where auction houses from Sweden, Great Britain, Finland, Spain, Germany, and Denmark sell furniture, art, design objects, collectibles, and much more. We are now looking for a Technical Engineering Manager who wants to be part of our team and contribute to a fast, reliable marketplace used by over a million buyers. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re hiring our second Engineering Manager for one of our product teams. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’re responsible for the developers’ growth and performance, and for the team’s ability to deliver well — continuously, and at a sustainable pace. With just one team to look after, you’ll also work alongside the team on projects, contributing to product work yourself. You’ll shape how this works together with the team and the others who lead with you — the Tech Lead on technical direction and feasibility, and Product Managers and Designers in their areas. Your responsibilities will include: * Managing the team’s four developers and one designer — 1:1s, feedback, growth, performance management, hiring, and onboarding. * Helping the team deliver well — continuously and sustainably, working with Product Managers and Designers on planning, prioritisation, and unblocking. * Improving how the team works — ways of working and team building. * Raising engineering standards — testing, CI/CD, observability, and incident response. * Working hands-on with the team on projects — building features, fixing bugs, reviewing code, and pairing where it helps, plus the support tasks the team gets assigned. This role is based in Stockholm, hybrid (partly remote possible). Working language is English, and we’re looking to start from August — flexible on the exact date for the right person. ABOUT THE TEAM You’ll be the Engineering Manager for our Auctionet Backoffice Team — a six-person product team working mainly on internal tooling and products. Your people-management responsibility is for the team’s four developers and one designer. The team builds in Ruby on Rails, with Turbo, Stimulus, and PostgreSQL. We care about how we build: maintainable code, solid test coverage, continuous deployment, and the kind of well-established best practices that keep a codebase healthy over years rather than months. Auctionet runs the leading online marketplace for European auction houses — art, design, furniture, and antiques. We have around 170 employees and are the parent company of a wider group with roughly 400 colleagues across multiple countries. Our main office is near Stureplan in central Stockholm, with logistics centres in Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Westbury, and Köln. ABOUT YOU You’re pragmatic, you communicate clearly, and you help the team keep moving. To succeed in this role, we think you have: * Experience managing software engineers — not only as a project or tech lead, and you’ve helped individuals and teams grow. * Still hands-on as an engineer — happy to pick up real work and ship it. You don't need our specific stack, but you must have solid web development experience and real depth in the fundamentals: HTTP, relational databases and SQL, APIs, testing, CI/CD. * Used to shipping user-facing product in small iterations. * Experience helping teams through change — bringing people with you. * Good at working with others — your team, other teams, Product Managers, Designers, Tech Leads, and stakeholders across Auctionet; comfortable in English (Swedish is a plus). Bonus and not mandatory: * Interest in art, design, or collectibles. BENEFITS * 30 days' paid vacation. * Flexible holiday swap — trade two public holidays for ones you choose. * 8% occupational pension — on top of your salary. * Parental pay — a top-up to your paid parental leave. * Wellness — a 4,000 SEK yearly grant, plus one paid hour a week during working hours. * Health support — counselling, rehabilitation, and income support during long-term sick leave. * Learning & development — an annual budget for courses, conferences, and professional growth. * Art Club — events, exhibitions, and openings through our staff association. ... and a few more perks beyond these. HOW WE HIRE We see hiring as a two-way thing. We’re mindful of your time, but we also want to spend enough of it together for both of us to get a real feel for working as a team — a short intro call, then two or three conversations with the team, and a small take-home exercise you can do in your own time. No whiteboard puzzles — we’d rather talk through real work together. APPLY BY We will be reviewing applications continuously. > If you’re excited about this role but don’t tick every box for the role, we’d still love to hear from you. Very few people match > every point — so if you’re close and motivated, please apply. WHO WE ARE Auctionet was founded in 2011 by a team of people with unique experience of online auctions. ABOUT THE POSITION We need an experienced Head of Security who can lead the way forward in bringing our product to the next level. We have a great product (Webdoc) with many happy customers (800), a great support organization (free support for all customers), a great product management team (lots of hands-on experience and domain knowledge), and a great development department (six teams including infrastructure). We need a skilled Head of Security who can guide and lead the way forward for our security work through technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams. Our product helps caregivers in the private healthcare sector work efficiently with their administration, and we integrate with many actors such as Inera, E-hälsomyndigheten, and several private actors. Experience working within healthcare, compliance, or highly regulated environments is very valuable to us. In this role, you will define, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s security strategy and roadmap while ensuring that security is embedded throughout the organization. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to integrate security into development and operational processes, while also leading the design and implementation of security architecture and controls across systems and infrastructure. Part of the role is being hands-on in implementing security tools, automation, and practical security solutions, while also supporting teams with guidance and best practices. It's important that you are up to date with latest trends in AI; both how we should meet the increased threats and how we should use AI as a tool to be more efficient in handling existing potential vulnerabilities. You will lead incident response processes and continuously improve readiness and routines through testing and follow-up. Risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and remediation strategies will be an important part of the role, including ensuring that identified vulnerabilities are prioritized, followed up on, and resolved across systems and applications. Another key responsibility is ensuring compliance with frameworks and regulations such as ISO27001, GDPR, SOC2, and NIS2, as well as supporting and guiding audits and other compliance activities. We also see you taking an active role in establishing and maintaining security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization, while continuously evaluating and improving security processes, tools, and methodologies. As a manager at Carasent, you are expected to lead the team in accordance with the Carasent Leadership Promise, hire and onboard new employees, establish goals and development plans, and support, coach, mentor, and give feedback to team members. We believe you have strong experience from security leadership roles and a deep understanding of application security, infrastructure security, cloud environments, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment. You have hands-on experience with security tools, automation, and scripting, and you are comfortable balancing strategic security work with practical implementation. Strong verbal and written communication skills (Swedish and English) are important in this role, as you will collaborate across teams and present security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. We spend 2–5 days a week at the office depending on what’s needed. We have a great benefits package. Are you up for the challenge?
