These teams build the systems that keep Nordnet and our customers safe: customer due diligence, risk classification, politically exposed persons and sanctions, enhanced due diligence, and the information we provide to authorities. 2027 is an exciting time to join as the new EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR) applies from July 2027, and you, together with our Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) department will drive the product side on how Nordnet meets it, for private customers, minors and companies across our Nordic and German markets. We are looking for someone who can carry that work and keep building the product long after the deadline has passed. The Product department consists of the Chief Product Officer, Area Product Owners, and Product Owners within the different domains. THIS IS PART OF THE ROLE As Product Owner for Customer Risk at Nordnet, you own the product vision, roadmap and delivery for our anti-money-laundering and customer-due-diligence platform. You translate regulation into products that are compliant by design, efficient for our operations teams and as smooth as possible for our customers. On a daily basis, you work with a skilled, AI-first engineering team, our FCP experts, Compliance, and the teams that work on customer sign-up and customer data. Together with FCP and Compliance, you turn regulatory requirements into clear product decisions, and help other teams build it right the first time. Key responsibilities * Product innovation: Shape the due diligence and customer-risk experience so it is compliant, efficient for operations and low-friction for customers. * Roadmap ownership: Lead the team roadmap by defining feature scope and prioritizing deliverables in collaboration with business owners and stakeholders. * Stakeholder communication: Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding roadmap progress, changes, and potential blockers. * Risk & compliance: Proactively identify and mitigate product risks while ensuring all features meet stringent regulatory and legal standards. * Engineering leadership: Guide development teams through complex technical problem-solving to deliver impactful products and a high-performance user experience. THIS IS YOU You have built products in, or worked closely with, FCP, and you care about why the rules exist, not just what they say. You have an interest within savings and investments and you have previous working knowledge and experience from digital product development within the financial service sector. You are comfortable saying "not now" and explaining why. You take a "low-ego, high-impact" approach. You take ownership of outcomes, stay calm and structured under pressure, and make the people around you better by sharing what you know. About you You bring solid experience in information security, frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST CSF 2.0 are second nature, and ideally you've also worked with DORA in practice, and potentially have started to work with CRA. Five or more years in the field is our starting point; a background in financial services and a technical foundation are a strong plus, since we're a digital bank. You're as comfortable creating engaging security communications as you are digging into the fine print of a regulation. You can independently structure and drive your own area of responsibility, and you have the ability to talk security risk with both the leadership team and the engineers, pitched right for each audience. You take a pragmatic approach to risk: the goal is an adequate level of security relative to the threat, not eliminating every conceivable risk. You will be part of the Tech organization and report to the IT Operations Manager for system management, within the Change & System Management department. You will be one of three system managers for AbaSec and operate on an operative and tactical level, whilst also supporting the system owner on a strategical level. You will collaborate with a large number of stakeholders from almost all departments within Nordnet including product owners, business analysts, engineers, and operational departments. WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL WORK ACROSS THE ENGINEERING ORGANISATION TO: * Design and build agentic workflows that automate and accelerate parts of the SDLC * Develop the tooling and orchestration layer for AI-assisted code review, testing, and delivery * Identify bottlenecks in developer workflows and build AI-powered solutions to remove them * Maintain and evolve our internal developer portal and shared tooling * Create data-driven insights that help teams understand and improve their engineering practices * Collaborate closely with product and platform teams to drive adoption of new tools and workflows This is hands-on engineering work with high impact on the whole engineering organisation. You'll ship things that change how the entire company builds software. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU ARE AN ENGINEER WITH A STRONG SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUND WHO: * Has built production systems and understands what makes them reliable * Is curious about AI, LLMs, and agentic patterns — and wants to apply them to real problems * Cares about developer experience and thinks in terms of reducing friction at scale * Communicates clearly and enjoys working across teams to find pragmatic solutions * Is comfortable navigating ambiguity — this is a fast-moving space and we're charting new territory We don't expect you to tick every box.
