About Reel Reel is building Europe's next-generation renewable energy platform, solving one of the biggest problems in today's energy markets: matching renewable supply with corporate demand. We're creating a new category by combining renewable energy optimization, a tech platform and tailored electricity supply solutions. We rethink electricity from first principles to accelerate the shift to a carbon-free energy system - closing the gap between renewable producers and corporate consumers by enabling companies to increase the value of renewable energy, move beyond 'green claims' and achieve verifiable carbon reductions. How you can contribute As our Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll be the first conversation many companies have with Reel. You’ll find the right people, get them interested in our green electricity solutions, and book meetings for our sales team. Each meeting you set up is a step towards a company cutting both its energy costs and its emissions. You don’t need a degree or sales experience. You’ll get coaching from our sales team from day one, and you’ll learn a lot in a short time: How B2B sales works, from the first cold call to a booked meeting. How the European energy market works, and why matching renewable supply with corporate demand is hard. How to use data and experiments to get better at what you do. What it’s like to work at a fast-growing startup. The role can be part-time (15-20h/w) or full-time, and it’s a good way to get real work experience in sustainability and/or sales before you start your studies. What your role will look like Most of your time goes to outbound calls, with the rest spent researching companies and following up. You’ll have a weekly target for booked meetings. Reach out to new companies, mainly by phone, with email and LinkedIn alongside. Have first conversations with decision-makers, qualify leads and book follow-up meetings for the sales team (and at times, attend these meetings). Research target companies and stakeholders to tailor messaging and outreach. Maintain and update CRM data (HubSpot) to ensure a smooth and transparent sales pipeline. We’re a data‑driven sales team that prioritizes strong data hygiene. Experiment with different outreach tactics to improve conversion rates and share learnings with the team. We think you will thrive in this role if You like talking to new people, including ones who aren’t expecting your call. You can hear a no without taking it personally, and pick up the phone again. You don’t mind doing the same thing many times a day, because you know that will get you closer to your goal. You are fluent in Danish and English . You don’t need sales experience. We care more about how you work than what’s on your CV. However, any experience in sales or customer-facing roles is of course a plus. You have a genuine interest in sustainability, climate action, or renewable energy. You’re curious about technology and business. You are motivated to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing commercial team. About Reel We are rethinking electricity to accelerate the transition to a carbon-free energy system. Electricity is one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions globally, yet most green power sold on the market today fails move the needle toward decarbonizing electricity production. Reel empowers companies to move beyond climate commitments and achieve real-world carbon reductions, by bridging the gap between renewable energy producers and consumers. Join our mission-driven, cross-disciplinary team of developers, builders, and climate experts working to accelerate the transition to a net-zero economy. How you can contribute As our new Senior Software Engineer, you will be directly helping companies achieve lower electricity costs and drive real climate impact. You will work closely with Christian, our CTO, and the rest of the engineering and product team to build the software powering the renewable energy transition. What your role will look like These are some (not all) of the things you will be working on: Build and maintain key backend systems: From our electricity billing engine handling accurate and on-time billing, to leading the technical work for entering new markets. Build the data backbone of our platform: Design and maintain the pipelines and backend systems that ingest, process, and serve large amounts of real-time energy data reliably and at scale. Build for scale: We are growing fast - in volume under management and geographically - and you will be part of building the infrastructure to support that growth. Ship user-facing features with real impact: Contribute to the analytics and platform tools our customers rely on daily to understand their consumption, production, and emissions. Raise the bar and help set the direction: Perform code reviews, share feedback with colleagues, contribute to key technical decisions, and be a core member of the team shaping how our tech evolves. We think you will thrive in this role if You have shipped a lot of production software and know how to get things done. You take real ownership of your work and have a bias for shipping. You don't need to know anything about energy today - but you'll be curious to learn. You might also recognise yourself in some of these: You have solid experience building and maintaining backend systems in production. You enjoy taking projects from idea to shipped, and like to ship often. You care deeply about reliability and want to stay close to production. You default to simple, pragmatic solutions. You work well independently, make decisions with confidence, and know when to bring others in. You enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others level up. Curious about how AI tools can help us ship better software as a team. We work in Elixir, using the Phoenix framework and LiveView + TypeScript for the front-end. We use Python for ML and trading. We're hosted on GCP, data in Postgres w. TimeScale and BigQuery. Experience in this stack is by no means a requirement - several engineers on the team today had no prior experience in Elixir. Please note that we are located in Copenhagen, Denmark and this is an in-office role with flexibility for hybrid work. Working at Reel At Reel, we care deeply about our people.
