bunch is building the backbone of private markets. We are enabling next-gen fund operations with one integrated system that combines secure data infrastructure, AI-powered workflows and expert fund services. If you value ownership, growth through real responsibility, and working with a thoughtful, ambitious team, this role might be for you. As we scale following our Series B, across markets, acquisitions, and teams, we are launching a steady pipeline of strategic operational projects. We are looking for a Central Operations Manager to turn those initiatives into implemented reality. You will take an initial idea or direction and shape it into an effective, executed plan, designing it as you go. The environment is complex and fast-moving, and projects are rarely fully defined at the outset. We need a sharp mind that can reduce a problem to its underlying assumptions and facts, together with the people skills and execution discipline to carry it through to adoption. You will work at the intersection of strategic planning and operational excellence, partnering closely with our Operations domains and other teams to help teams operate consistently, scale effectively, and continuously improve. A major focus will be the operational integration of acquired companies into the bunch operating model. You will work most closely with the Senior Central Ops & Integration Lead and VP Operations, who drive the conceptualisation and initiation of these initiatives. You will own the execution: shaping early-stage ideas into concrete plans and carrying them through to implementation. YOUR ROLE * Take operational excellence and integration initiatives from initial concept to implemented reality, shaping the plan as you go. * Translate an improvement plan into concrete milestones, owners, and decisions, and keep them progressing on your own initiative. * Drive operational integration workstreams from planning through execution and adoption as bunch grows through acquisitions. * Build the steering frameworks the operations teams run on, turning operational data into the metrics and targets that guide their decisions. * Use analytical assessment to identify where processes can be simplified, scaled, or de-risked, and drive those improvements through to completion with measurable impact. * Own bunch's central operational tooling, such as Asana and Front: set the standards for how it is used, run training, and drive its ongoing development. * Manage the relationships with these tooling vendors, from support and adoption through to roadmap and renewals. * Run several projects in parallel while keeping quality high across all of them. ABOUT YOU * You bring 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment such as management consulting, startups, or tech project management where you owned complex problems end to end. * You have exceptional analytical thinking. You reduce a problem to its core assumptions, facts, and constraints, and rebuild it into something simple enough that others immediately understand it and can act on it. * You are effective with people. You bring others with you toward an outcome, building trust and alignment across teams that do not report to you and driving genuine adoption of change. * You have excellent project management skills. You run multiple workstreams in parallel, keep them on track, and carry them through to implementation with limited oversight. * You are comfortable taking an initial idea or direction and shaping it into an effective, implemented plan, designing it as you go, in an environment that is complex and rarely fully defined at the outset. * You are highly structured and detail-oriented, and hold quality under tight timelines. * You are proactive and thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where you are trusted with real ownership. * A background in private markets, fund administration, or financial services is a strong plus, though not a requirement, as long as you are keen to get up to speed on the industry bunch operates in. * You are fluent in English; German is a plus. WORKPLACE & BENEFITS * Competitive salary * Customizable benefits package (wellbeing, sport, mobility, food, and more) * 28 days of vacation, plus 2 company days and local public holidays * Remote-flexible hybrid (3 days/week in office) * Up to 4 remote calendar weeks a year * Work with a diverse team of 120+ bunchies from 40+ countries, with leaders who are best-in-class in their domains HIRING PROCESS * People Team Interview (30 min) – Meet us & check initial fit * Hiring Manager Interview (45 min) – Collaboration, ownership, and culture * Case Interview & VP of Ops screening ideally on site (90 min) – Collaborative problem-solving and communications skills * Final Round (60 min) – Meet senior stakeholders * Reference calls to confirm your relationship building abilities About bunch bunch is building the operating infrastructure for the next generation of private markets. We are enabling next-gen fund operations with one integrated system that combines secure data infrastructure, AI-powered workflows and expert fund services. If you value ownership, growth through real responsibility, and working with a thoughtful, ambitious team, this role might be for you. We are looking for a (Senior) Finance and Accounting Manager to be the backbone of our day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role sitting at the intersection of accounting, billing, and process improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out all key financial operations, including preparatory accounting (vorbereitende Buchhaltung), spend management and client invoicing, across all our bunch entities. We’re looking for someone who can rock accounting but has expanded (or wants to further expand) into financial generalist topics and take on more responsibility across the finance function. In your role, you will have direct exposure to the full finance function of a fast-growing fintech. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and will have the opportunity to grow your role within the Finance Team over time; for appropriate senior-level experience, you can enter at a Senior Manager role. From day one, you will play a critical role in strengthening and optimising our financial operations as we grow and scale across markets. You'll also track client payments and flag overdue accounts. * Support our monthly close by coordinating with external accountants across all jurisdictions and entities, ensuring timely delivery of monthly and annual accounts and that our external partners always have what they need on time. * Support on our regular tax filings, such as for VAT, across our entities. * Conduct monthly payroll reviews and serve as the internal point of contact for payroll-related questions — including social security, health insurance, pension contributions, and employee benefits — as well as financial employee policies such as expense reimbursement. * Support equity financing rounds alongside Legal, Strategy, and FP&A — including due diligence and data room preparation. You'll also pick up one-off banking and insurance needs as they arise. About you * At least 2–4 years of experience in an in-house finance role, reputable consultancy, or completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r) or accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter/in). This role has flexibility in its seniority — for more senior candidates beyond 5-6 years experience, we can offer a “Senior Manager” role * Mastery of the fundamentals of accounting and familiarity with common tax issues arising in a multi-jurisdictional company * Hands-on experience with accounting, billing, and spend management tools (e.g. DATEV, Stripe, Moss, Spendesk) or similar systems * Highly organised and reliable, with a track record of owning recurring processes independently * Genuine interest in process optimisation and automation — you notice inefficiencies and want to fix them * Strong attention to detail and quality orientation * A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and comfort handling new responsibilities * High level of ownership, reliability, and flexibility * SaaS and/or fund industry experience is a plus * Fluency in English (C1+ level), at least B1 in German * Be excited about working in a fluid, innovative, fast-paced, and creative environment and about being a part of bunch's culture * Diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged Workplace & Benefits * Competitive salary * Customizable benefits package (wellbeing, sport, mobility, food, and more) * 28 days of vacation, plus 2 company days and local public holidays * Remote-flexible hybrid (3 days/week in office) * Up to 4 remote calendar weeks a year * A great tech and work setup * Work with a diverse team of 120+ bunchies from 40+ countries, with leaders who are best-in-class in their domains Hiring process 1.
