Would you like to lead the kitchen at one of Norway’s most beautiful mountain destinations?

Nystua Skeikampen is looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Head Chef for the 2026–2027 winter season, with a start date of 1 December 2026.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about great food, enjoys leading people, and is motivated by creating memorable experiences for both guests and colleagues. With us, you will have the opportunity to combine active kitchen operations with leadership in an environment defined by quality, genuine hospitality, and outstanding guest experiences.

Nystua is a natural gathering place in Skeikampen, welcoming cabin owners, skiers, local residents, groups, and events throughout the winter season.

Your responsibilities​

  • Daily leadership and operational management of the kitchen
Personnel responsibility for the kitchen team
Staff scheduling and workforce planning
Ordering, receiving, and managing stock and inventory
Ensuring strong routines for food safety, health & safety, and internal control procedures
Actively working to reduce food waste
Managing supplier relationships
Planning and executing events, functions, and group bookings
Working closely with the General Manager and the rest of the management team

We are looking for someone who​

  • Has experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities
Holds a culinary qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Is a confident and inspiring leader
Has a good understanding of efficient operations and quality management
Has solid knowledge of food safety and professional kitchen operations
Thrives in a fast-paced and varied working environment
Is structured, solution-oriented, and quality focused
Is motivated by developing people and building strong teams
Communicates well in English or a Scandinavian language
