Behind every product we ship sits a database that has to be correct, durable, and fast. As our Database Administrator, you'll own
the stateful layer of our platform end-to-end: the Postgres and ClickHouse clusters that hold our operational and analytical data,
and the supporting key-value and document stores that surround them. You'll be the person engineering teams trust when they need a
new cluster designed, an outage diagnosed, or a migration run without losing a byte.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the lifecycle of our stateful data storages - design, deploy, operate, upgrade, and decommission Postgres and ClickHouse
clusters in production
- Design and continuously verify backup and point-in-time recovery procedures across all managed engines, and rehearse restores
on a regular cadence
- Maintain monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning for database workloads, and drive query- and schema-level performance work
with the application teams
YOUR KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong experience with analytical databases; ClickHouse in production is a strong plus, and candidates who can demonstrate
rapid mastery of complex new technologies are encouraged to apply.
- Working knowledge of database observability - metrics, slow-query analysis, and capacity planning (Prometheus, Grafana, or
similar)
