Are you ready to work with products that save lives?
We are now looking for a
BUYER
at our Jyväskylä factory.
In this role, you will help ensure that the materials and components needed for production arrive at our Jyväskylä factory in the
right quantities and at the right time. You will place and manage purchase orders in our ERP system, follow up onorder
confirmations and delivery schedules, keep purchasing data up to date and take proactive action if shortages or other delivery
issues arise. Working with an international supplier network, you will collaborate closely with production, production planning,
R&D, factory management and the wider sourcing organisation.
The sourcing organisation is responsible for selecting suppliers and negotiating contracts, while your focus will be on
operational purchasing and ensuring a reliable flow of materials to production. You will also support purchasing for new product
projects during the prototype phase and may have opportunities to contribute to wider development initiatives, including a future
ERP renewal.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced operational buyer with several years of relevant experience in purchasing and materials
management in a manufacturing environment. A background in electronics or another technical industry would be particularly
valuable, but an engineering degree is not essential. What matters most is your understanding of systematic purchasing in a
factory environment, material flows and supply chains, as well as your ability to plan ahead whencomponent lead times can be long.
You take a proactive, organised and persistent approach to your work and know how to prioritise and resolve delivery issues before
they affect production. You actively seek out information, take ownership of moving things forward and are comfortable contacting
suppliers by both phone and email. You communicate clearly and work well with internal stakeholders and external partners,
bringing a practical, positive and solution-focused mindset to the role.
Fluent Finnish and good written English are required, while confidence in spoken English is an advantage. You should also be
comfortable using ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools. Savox currently uses Epicor iScala, so previous experience with the
system would be useful but is not essential. Travel is limited to occasional visits to other Savox locations. As you will work
with suppliers in Europe and the United States, you may occasionally need to be flexible with your working hours.
What Do We Offer?
This is a key role in keeping production running smoothly. You will gain a broad view of an international supply chain and work
with a wide variety of materials and components, from electronics and machined parts to sheet metal and standard hardware. You
will have the opportunity to improve purchasing practices, make materials management more proactive and contribute to project
purchasing and future development initiatives. You will be supported by experienced colleagues across sourcing and factory
operations in a culture that values collaboration, initiative and shared success.
