System Design Engineer

As a System Design Engineer, you will help shape one of Volvo Construction Equipment’s most advanced productivity solutions. It

combines embedded systems, cloud services, mobile applications and automation into intuitive features that improve productivity,

precision and the overall operator experience.

CPAC Systems develops intelligent control systems for marine, off-road and on-road applications. Our work brings together

software, electronics, mechanics and system integration to solve complex engineering challenges. As part of the Volvo Group, we

are around 300 colleagues with deep technical expertise, a practical mindset and a strong belief in building things together.

We work from our office in Mölndal, with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week. Here, you will find a warm and social

culture where colleagues enjoy sharing ideas and helping each other. We offer stable employment conditions through a collective

agreement and benefits that support your wellbeing, both at and outside work.

You will help shape productivity applications for heavy machinery, from the first requirements and system design through to

release and troubleshooting. Along the way, you’ll collaborate with developers, testers, system engineers and UX designers to turn

customer needs into practical solutions. Cybersecurity is a key part of the role, making sure our connected systems are secure

from the start.

Just a stone’s throw from our Mölndal office, you can follow up on design decisions in real machines and see how everything comes

together. You will stay close to our end customers, getting to know the operator’s everyday challenges and exploring what they

might need next. There’s plenty of room to be curious, try out ideas and take an active part in moving things forward!

You are a curious and inventive problem solver who enjoys turning complex challenges into practical solutions. You can see the

whole system and break it down into manageable parts. You take initiative, drive work forward and take ownership from the first

idea through to a working solution.

You enjoy working with others, communicate clearly and build strong relationships across disciplines. With a structured mindset

and a willingness to explore new approaches, you help create reliable solutions.

If you have any questions about the role, feel free to contact Victoria Sahlberg, Talent Partner, at

victoria.sahlberg@cpacsystems.se. As part of our recruitment process, we conduct background checks as well as drug and alcohol

testing.
