SSC Space ABOm tjänsten
They say, “it’s not rocket science.” We disagree.
Welcome to SSC Space (formerly Swedish Space Corporation), the perfect workplace for those passionate about technology in general and space in particular.
With space organizations, research institutes, institutional and commercial actors as customers, we offer specialist expertise in satellite communications, spacecraft consulting services, rocket and balloon systems, and much more.
SSC Space also has one of the world’s largest global networks of ground stations for satellite communications. We own and operate the Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, northern Sweden, with the aim of launching satellites in the near future.
We are now looking for an AWS DevSecOps Engineer who will build and improve the infrastructure and deployment workflows that support our systems. Working across AWS and on-premises environments, you will help developers deliver software reliably, strengthen security through automated controls and make our systems easier to operate and monitor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving practical problems through automation and takes ownership of system reliability. You work well across IT and development teams, share your knowledge and look for ways to make everyday operations better.
You bring:
At least three years of hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
Practical experience with infrastructure as code, using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins.
Experience managing Kubernetes clusters in cloud or on-premises environments.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools, scripting in Python or Bash, and DevSecOps practices is an advantage.
Swedish citizenship is required for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work closely with developers, architects and IT colleagues to improve how we build, deploy and manage our environments.
Your responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and automate configuration with Ansible.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based systems and applications.
Automate deployments and environment provisioning to improve consistency and reduce manual work.
Manage containerized workloads in Amazon EKS and on-premises Kubernetes environments.
Develop monitoring and observability across cloud and on-premises resources using Grafana and application performance monitoring tools.
Investigate operational incidents and improve reliability through testing, automation and lessons learned.
Build security policies and automated guardrails into infrastructure and deployment workflows.
Manage software artefacts and container images using Amazon ECR and JFrog, supporting a secure software supply chain.
Contribute to solution design, quality assurance and clear documentation of infrastructure and processes for internal use and audits.

We offer you
A unique opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects and play an active role in both the Swedish and international space industry.
An excellent opportunity for personal and career development.
An exciting, international workplace characterized by an open atmosphere and proud employees all over the world.
You will work with colleagues across engineering and IT, develop your skills across cloud and on-premises environments, and contribute to how we build and operate our systems.
