Technical Project Manager – Wave Farm Project Development
Working at CorPower Ocean you will be part of a world class team, committed to make big impact. We are on a mission to bring
reliable and competitive wave energy to the world. We offer a high degree of freedom and flexibility, combined with great personal
responsibility. CorPower Ocean is a global leader in wave energy, with a technology that has shown game-changing performance. Your
work will contribute to the global transition to renewable energy by unlocking one of the largest untapped sources of clean energy
on earth
The Role
The Project Management Office (PMO) at CorPower is looking for a dynamic project engineer/technical project manager with a strong
interest in helping us build upon our strong momentum in the HiWave-5 project (that recently achieved the world’s first DNV
certification of a wave energy technology), the 15MW VianaWave project in now advancing through FEED stage in Portugal and the 5MW
Valiant project also in FEED stage in the UK. You will help build on this by developing our next commercial engineering projects
across Europe and beyond, including Pre-Front-End Engineering Design (Pre-FEED) and FEED, for wave project sites around the globe.
You will be joining a fast-growing and successful team with many opportunities to grow in the role with the chance to see project
come to life from initial Pre-FEED (Concept) engineering to detailed design (DD), construction all the way through to operating
wave farms in the Ocean. The role requires the mindset of an engineer first, project manager second, combining both these skills
to develop and deliver sound technical engineering projects with a simultaneous and solid application of technical and
non-technical project management principles. You will help identify and develop our Pre-FEED and FEED projects via engagement with
both internal and external resources, as well as known and important commercial stakeholders/key clients. The role will also
involve working closely with the commercial team to drive and deliver on our commercial wave engineering projects to match the
commercial requirements at group level around the globe.
This is a dynamic role where no day is the same and in which one must be comfortable reacting to a fast-paced environment where
solutions must be found quickly through agile management, solid problem solving, good engineering judgement and strong leadership.
The role will be working closely with the rest of the PMO and will involve a large amount of interaction with our entire
engineering, supply chain, testing and finance teams requiring good collaboration skills to really drive the Pre-FEED/FEED
project(s) forward.
The role will also involve other commercial tasks for the company and promoting and communicating about wave technology. You will
get the chance to input and develop proposals for new projects to meet next stage company goals.

Design (Pre-FEED) and FEED projects with areas such as Project & Technology Management, Social License to Operate, Consenting,
Site Characterisation (Surveys onshore and offshore), HSE, etc).
- Broad experience in Project Engineering to ensure an offshore asset product (in our case a wave energy converter but experience
in offshore wind, O&G, solar, Tidal, etc is relevant) is fit for a new project site, to de-risk the project strategy in areas
such as:

energy and technical development
Skills and qualifications (Meriting but not essential)
- Awareness and understanding of offshore design, product development methods, reliability and certification processes to take a
project from Early Concept to Ready to Build (RtB) status is valuable
