As a Project Manager, you will be part of the Customer Success (CS) department. We undertake exciting projects at top-tier banks all over the world to implement our online banking solutions. Your task is to manage projects all around the world and be a bridge between Backbase internal teams and our clients. Backbase is a fast-growing and dynamic environment. Taking upon this position means that you will be a key person in providing effective coordination and communication among all the project stakeholders. You will be expected to support customers/partners and advise clients on implementing their online applications using Backbase Solution to its full potential. Fundamentals: ● 5-8 years of experience; ● Can demonstrate experience in the financial sector; ● Can demonstrate experience in startup/scaleup environment; ● Managed a program; ● Agile coach experience is beneficial. Use of Tools and Methods: ● Superior knowledge of standard software tools related to daily position responsibilities, answers questions for colleagues related to those tools and leads tutorials on best practices for using software tools; ● Provides teams and colleagues and customers with context for how software tools enhance their ability to perform their duties more efficiently and effectively- strongly promotes agile philosophy and ways of working. Financial Management: ● Able to create tools and processes around internal and external reporting; ● Able to support strategy discussions based on reported data; ● Able to address issues based on data; ● Ensures effectiveness of the project (productivity/billability for the company). Client Management: ● Able to spot business development opportunities and involve relevant people; ● Able to design and facilitate client workshops; ● Able to spot potential issues and minimize the impact through effective management; ● Able to handle a large transformation program within one customer; ● Able to work with senior stakeholders to define long-term program strategy. The job in short Capture the essential requirements to help our customers realize their customer experience vision. Meet the job You work closely with both our customers and the Backbase UX design and development teams. You are the product owner for a project and guide the team in making the right choices to maximize success for the project and the customer. Our customers and implementation partners see you as a trusted consultant. Together we work to successfully deliver our enterprise solution and achieve our customers’ goals. With the multi-disciplinary and internationally diverse teams at Backbase, you will analyze, capture, and prioritize customer requirements for new customer experience initiatives. You perform business process gap analysis and write user stories. Every project has its own set of unique challenges that must be overcome and it’s up to you to think quickly and provide solutions that work for everyone. On the customer side, you will manage expectations and help them translate their vision into a sound project backlog. Due to some customers not working Agile, you will need knowledge of Agile development methodologies and be able to organize engaging workshops with customers to identify all of the technical requirements needed. How about you? * You hold a university degree (preferable business or IT related); * You have 7+ years working experience as a Business Analyst in the field; * You have experience working on lending products such as commercial, corporate or construction loans. * You have excellent communication skills in English and you feel comfortable interacting with stakeholders within Backbase and potential customers and various level; * You are able to showcase good analytical and evaluative skills, and can translate customer pain points into detailed product requirements; * Organizational and cultural sensitivity comes naturally to you; * You are able to execute product gap analysis based on gathered requirements to maximize project and customer success; * You know your way around requirements management, process modeling and development methodologies.
The Job in Short To manage projects for some of the customers for our US Hub. You will be part of the Customer Success team and work closely with a Customer Success Manager, Technical Manager, and Operations Manager, to act as the face of Backbase. Meet the Job As a Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the quality of our delivery with some of the customers within the US Hub. You will carefully steer and monitor performance across these projects and maintain customer success and satisfaction while ensuring that our relationship with them continues to grow. This role will directly report to Delivery Director. You will engage our customers at the executive level, presenting our delivery strategy and supporting the larger Customer Success Team in creating new opportunities. You will also occasionally support the Sales Team, provide guidance to the Operations Management function, and collaborate with the R&D department as well as the technical area to align the delivery strategy with the technical implementation. Overall, you own customers’ project portfolio and work closely with Project Managers to steer the implementation toward success in addition to the line management of Business Analysts, UX Designers, and Project Managers within the Hub. How about You? * You have 8+ years experience in Delivery; * You can demonstrate experience in the banking/financial services sector(s); * You have experience in startup/scaleup environments; * You have managed a program; * Agile coach experience is beneficial; * You have a Bachelor's degree; * Full professional proficiency in the English language (ILR 4 or equivalent); * You have a proven leadership track record (8+ years) in running implementation projects for complex, mission-critical, and high-traffic web applications on rock-solid architecture; * You are a pragmatic solution finder who is accustomed to making project trade-offs and decisions, which subsequently, drive these decisions throughout the overall project execution; * You have strong analytical, consultancy, and communication skills (written and verbal).
